Okay to all you wannabe critiques out there.. You guys are failing to see the technique involved with his dancing. Every move he makes is something he practices and puts together. True that he does free style, but the majority of his works are choreographed. As an artist of his level, he is going to do theatrical work because it appeals to the audience. From a musicians perspective, technique is drilled into the musician b4 the showy stuff comes in.. And Phillip has reached that level

@jayjesse77 I draw a distinction between great dancing and being theatrical and creative. The two are not one in the same. This guy's style is questionable, and while it may be somewhat unique, I'd have to consider that it may be rare because people have no real interest in dancing this way, not that it's impossible to do. To me, it's bizarre, mechanical, quirky, and not something I'd want to emulate. I've seen simpler and more basic styles that I find much more artistic and interesting.
