  • Is there only 1 russian news agency?

  • hi anyone want to chat

someone smart please help me Bx

  • I love the Russian Orthodox Christian Icon that you can see on the Russian computer monitor at 35 seconds. There is a Russian Orthodox Christian Icon on the International Space Station, too. And a Russian Orthodox Christian Priest blesses the cosmonauts before missions. God bless Orthodox Christian Russia!

  • Isn't it always about politics?... I think NASA should have had a better ability to foresee the economical BS... I always thought it would have been cheaper to build a new shuttle, instead of building more satellites and telescopes... But then again, there isn't much use for NASA after 2012!... ;)

  • It was a stupid political decision made by Clinton and Gore rather than a sound programmatic decision.

If Clinton and Gore had not meddled, NASA would have produced a design that they would have completed years ago.

Because of Clinton and Gore, more russian hardware was included in the design. such as the 'service module.'. The 'service module' caused a delay in the program for several years because the russians would not complete it and kept dragging completion out.

  • McCain doesn't care if we lose a couple astronauts every once in awhile, as long as he gets to pwn a couple COMMUNIST haters of FREEDOM in his political video game.

  • Russia is fulling around.

  • nope we're not.

two can play the same game and russians are using the cards wisely.

  • There will be many indirect costs and consequences in maintaining a permanent war policy versus Eurasia (known by geographers as the "World Island"). The World Island is controlled by China, India, and Russia. If all three agree on a thing, it will be done.

NOTE: All three will punish us, directly or indirectly, for invading the World Island.

The provocative, dangerous, unnecessary, and expensive expansion of NATO has to stop. I am going to hammer the table on this, every day!

  • In fact, Russians are too kind to the USA.

After all they have done to Ossetia, I'd close any russian cooperation with NASA. Would be very easy, straight and painful to the US.

  • Out of NASA LOL,Shows how informed you are.

Russia is not nor ever was in NASA.

Nor is our European space programme.

  • The donkeys will be able to go into space, while NASA will not be able.So who is worse? At least the Russians own the donkey LOL.Come 2010 they would be asking Russians to go into space or continue to put people into the flying coffins till they make their own donkey in 2015.

I prefer the donkey.Last donkey to kill people was in 1971.NASA had lost two shuttles since then.

  • America was so 'interested in humiliating Russia' (as the russian propaganda goes) that it eagerly humiliated its International Space Station project? Go figure.

The US would have completed the Space Station project years ago if it had stayed on the course it was on.

  • NASA went the wrong way about space travel with the Shuttle programme.Thats why they scrapped the space station programme. There by falling behind the actual way of doing it.So who is to blame?NASA for picking Shuttles over space stations.

  • We have so many birdbrains blathering away about subject matter they no nothing about.

NASA was tasked in 1993 by the Clinton Admin. to do another Station redesign as part of the transition from the multi-prime contractor to the single prime contractor, Boeing.

One of the proposed redesigns was to include existing russian hardware, the 'FGB Tug' as a means to supposedly save money.

Clinton and Gore ordered NASA instead to bring Russia in as a new international partner to help out Yeltsin.

  • To include existing Russian hardware?

And where exactly is that hardware going to come from?

  • You clearly lack any knowledge of the Space Station program.

The russian sections were in the early assembly flights.

  • Yeah sure LOL.

You are the one who seems to be living in a fantasy.

Yes Zvesda is the core module round which the others are placed.contains all the life support, attitude and orbit control. So what about it?

Actually all the newer modules are European and Japanese, and they are basically service stations and labs.

  • Wrong

This is not an American broadcast, so America didn't humiliate anything.

And no, US with the current debt of 175 trillion wouldn't have gone too far without collaboration.

Please, think a bit more before posing.

  • Amen to that

  • America humiliated its space program to accomodate Russia.

Let's play like Russia, let's whine and cry about a fake humiliation as a great power and then lash out childishly like a bully like Russia did in Georgia.

  • Russians do not care about G8, this is just a discussion club with a decent food and wine. We can buy our own and even spare some.

Russian was never part of NASA, how can it be kicked out?

    LOL!!!

  • Well i suggest NASA learns to build thier own damn thing, or America needs to get along with Russia

  • Since many of the the main modules are russian, and these that are not Russian were build with Russian technology,Its funny how some people are claiming the ISS is american. The Americans could not even keep the Skylab in orbit.

The USA may lead the world in shuttle technology but Russian are the masters of space station technology.

  • All good on paper.

So when was the Space station freedom put into orbit?

The Russians had maintained space stations in orbit continuously since the 70s.several sometimes. All functioned well even the last mir was scrapped intentionally.

The Russian space programme was based on space station with cheap transport between them. They Build a shuttle, buyan flew it once and found it not to be cost effective as the space station system.

  • It took NASA 30 years to get to the same conclusion. From 2010 they are returning to rockets.Russian all the while been advancing theirs. There is talk of the Kliper going into service in 2012.

Why is Russia ahead?Cause the saw the white elephant from the very start and went the right way using Spacestations and rockets.

When did the Russians last have an accident in space? 1971

  • starcatcher888

Has not bothered to you to write so primitive delirium? You are idiot, reconcile to it.

  • It's too bad that the ISS is international and no longer even owned by the Americans. Now Russians have the majority stake. It's too late to destroy the station now.

  • g8 is weak and russia has a better space program then "jewusa" program back nasa by 20 year russia is head bicth

  • I want to date all the RT reporters, well the female ones...

  • Actually, tis time for the private sector to bypass NASA and take to space without Congressional/Pentagon red tape.

  • Actually, tis time for the private sector to bypass NASA and take to space without Congressional/Pentagon red tape.

  • Time to call the boys at Area 51.

  • Time to call the boys at Area 51.

  • Great job Bush. This must be his "plan" to get to Mars.-LoL

  • Sweet we give NASA four billion and we can tell Russia thanks but we won't need those Soyuz rockets after all because we just built the latest greatest rockets on the planet. Sounds like a great way to go until Russia stops acting like a bully.

  • US government bitches move 'Russia Today' in another channel? "US Freedom Of Speech" again?
