James Williamson was a good musician but one of the main reasons the stooges broke up according to everybody. Of course they probably all would have broke up anyway.
@UZIsuicide9111 He tried to take over the band. First he ousted the Ashton's with Iggy. Then he started making the road crew his friends until the whole Stooges support was on James's side. He eventually tried to make it his band....with his lawyers.... and Iggy would be the support. That's when Iggy quit. He wasn't even an original member. Don't get me wrong drugs ruined the band too but James didn't help.
@Flipper79able thats not really true the band broke up for a lil bit in 71 with james and ron both on guitars. then bowie brought iffy to england to make a solo record and iggy brought james with em cuz he was just diggin his style mroe at the time plain and simple. in england they cudnt find a rhytm section that understood their music so JAMES suggested to bring the ashetons in. and iggy quit cuz he was loosing his mind he checked into a mental hospital

Your telling me information I all ready know and it has been confirmed by everyone that knew the Stooges that James was one of the reasons the band broke up. If your trying to make a point I suggest you try harder as apposed to just trying to give me a history lesson.
@Flipper79able well if you know all this then how can u say wut ur saying lmao. according to you james was tryna push the ashetons out the band when it was HIS idea to bring them in the first place. and james tried to usurp iggy with laywers and thats why he left? then why did he play guitar on iggys first solo album kill city and produce two other of his albums? dont u think iggy wud be mad at him for trying to kick em otu his own band????

@Flipper79able clam down homo lol. i read an itnerview with ron asheton sayin he was sad cuz the stooges didnt have to end if it wasnt for the herion they wud have kept goin. most bands have some tensions in them not everyone fucking loves each other ur reading into things too much
