its easy to get raygun/flamethrower, there is no trick like "open when its darkness gold" you just need lucky.

1- from the round 1 to 3 knife the zombies.

2- when you get like 6000 points open the help door, and open the box. you will get good weapons, or even raygun and flamethrower.

3-keep trying on the mystery box untill you get your raygun or flamethrower.

ok u don't use the ray gun of lvl 3 and the only way to surely get a flamethrower is to go on two player mode, have one guy die and spin the box. 99 times out of 100 it will be a flamethrower.
