actually, mothership just got nerfed. No more planet cracker or time bomb. time thing got moved to high templar. basically, the mothership is now just another unit check the starcraft wikia. it has up to date info of all units and buildings from all races. and lol, Optimus prime? I'm pretty sure this was more made to show off the new features of the game than to show a lot of skill on the part of either player.

I didn't notice it as much in this game but in BR1 there were a lot of really obvious mistakes by both players where they would just sit there and fight (i.e. not intelligently retreating, not attempting to maneuver), as well as a lot of time where they could have used upgrades/new abilities to their advantage and didn't.

Zerg has to spread quick and effectively, not let Terran keep up with expansions.

Sitting outside the Terran base gave Terran the perfect chance to turtle and tech.

As far as I can see, what Zerg should have done is harrass (as he did) while teching a lot more. Hydra was too late to counter air, Lurkers would've been great for infantry, though with Hydra support.

Then again, I'm just assuming this, I may well be wrong. Correct me if you wish.

In SC1 & Brood War, they have some cards up their sleeves at around the late game, mainly in the Guardian aerial seigers, Devourer anti-air, Ultralisks, Lurkers, and Defilers...But, I tend to find them more specialized than those higher-tech units of other races.

I find that, even towards the end, the Zerg tend to rely moreso on swarms of even these sorts of units. But, given this, the Zerg tend to consistently continue to pump out swarms of increasingly powerful (albeit, specialized) units.

As in they have relatively restricted roles; i.e. Guardians are real slow and can only attack ground units making them very vulnerable to air; Devourers can only attack air making them very vulnerable to ground; Ultras can only attack ground, and they are huge targets for enemies; Lurkers can only attack burrowed in position under in the ground; Defilers are, exclusively, spellcasters...etc...

Overall, though, towards the end, the Zerg guy should've focus fired more so upon those Nighthawks. That could've given him more of a chance around the end. Who knows what would've happened then.

With the forces he had he had no chance of focusing its fires upon Nighthawks, they can just move back, they are air units.

He needed more anti-air. However the real loss of due to resource count at the end. The zerg should have focused more on expansion while he had the terran player trapped. This mistake is frequent for all players (even pros) under pressure.
