The Mogul balloon is the lamest excuse. Jesse Marcel, Sr. said that the debris field was 3/4 of a mile long. Balloon wreckage wouldn't do that. Mac Brazel retrieved many weather balloons, so that he could collect the $10 reward for returning them, and he told Frank Joyce that what he saw was NOT a weather balloon. The weather wouldn't have permitted a Mogul balloon to be launched the night of the craft, either. Dummies weren't dropped until 1953, so that's a lame explanation, as well.

I am an agnostic about this. There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence, but no conclusive evidence. However, I am highly skeptical of the Government's credibility. On Roswell it has admitted giving false testimony (essentially lying). People who lie should not be surprised to find that they cannot be trusted. I think that a great many of the UFOs that are seen are probably highly classified military vehicles, but I do no t think that this is a satisfactory explanation in every incident.
