  • Sounds like an old washing machine...

  • will that wake a baby ? ;)

  • Some of my friends brag about their 'tough' and 'hi-tech' sound of their entry Canon cameras. I think this one sounds a bit calm, but check out that of 60D and 600D, pretty cool, and they really enjoyed it.

  • I looked at this vid, watch?v=OsLeYj_FOLw

    I think 5DMkII sounds just as 'high-tech' :)

  • Sounds like a Gun :D

  • don't like this sound. prefer the other 5d mark II sound -5d mark ii can have 2different shutters so the sound changes-. nice video though

  • So what is wrong with sony sensors?

  • Nikon lenses are made in China or Thailand.

  • @macyouall only their Dx and cheapo lenses. All of mine were made in japan...

  • lame sound. Nikon's sound much better!

  • @wienerbaloney nikon sound like shit. this is also because the audio recorder of the uploader sux a bit :p

  • i hate the way the sub-1d cameras sound: very springy and chinchy sounding to me.

  • that's a lot of shit photos to delete now

  • 1/8000 holy f***** thats fast

  • I'm sorry...but what's the point of the video?

  • 1/8000 of a second thats preeeeeee farkin quiiick

  • @macdonaldnick311 You would need to lower the f-stop a lot!

  • 10iggie - why don you share some photo from your work ? I guest you are not Nikon fans, as Nikon fans wont speak so rudly like this. Canan ? or Sony ?

  • sure , do u have a an e-mail address I can send some photos to? I would love to defenitely

  • thyanks for sharing! Sweet sound :-)

  • You just don't have a clue, shoot some pics. before you say any stupidity , you just don't know what the fuck u're talking about

  • Nikon uses sensor manufactured by Sony

  • @macyouall that is why concludes that nikon is sucks

  • @Xyb3rTeCh Sony make some pretty good sensors, when it comes to entry and mid level d-slr, probably the best low light contenders out there.

  • @macyouall True, it's also true that Kodak makes some Leica camera's sensor... and that doesn't mean that Kodak Cameras are great :)

  • @macyouall Thats true, but the Full Frame/FX are developed by Nikon. Sony has to make them for Nikon, but they aren't developed by Sony... bit of a difference. I think Canon does the same with their Full Framers too.

DX stuff is basically all Sony, Pentax buys theirs from Sony and Samsung.

  • @kalison08 wait a minute. i thought canon sensors are all in-house made?

  • @macyouall nice point :-)

  • @macyouall Not in their pro bodies...

  • @macyouall hahahah xD

  • @jefftan99 you can't compare a fullframe with a crop sensor, dumbass

  • @Xyb3rTeCh Amen to that!!! :)

  • Oh yeah I forgot it's practical to look in the VF to see how many shots you have left... Lol

  • whats up with the 999? why not imaged as "1.5k" for exmaple...?

  • if you press the info button. you can see exactly the number of remaining shots plus the remaining memory. you're damn stupid and doesnt know anything about canon cameras. the 999 is just a treshold wether you only have 999 left which is a good thing

  • Really interesting, as generally people do that kind of test at only 1 shutter speed !!

  • As far as I know, the larger the camera is, ie 1D, the louder it sounds. Well, mirror's bigger so is shutter. But on my 1DIII the amount of vibration during shutter is significantly lesser - even during burst mode.

  • at 200 shutter speed and up, it just sounds like the same thing..

  • Thanks for posting this. I do feel the viberation of shutter and the sound is just "lasting" longer than it should. 7D is supposed to have the best sound. I like my 50D's though.

  • I own a 5d mk2 and a 40d and the shutter sound of my 40d is just sweet music to my ears the 5d mk2 doesn't sound too good but besides that the 5d is a little better on almost everything , still I love my 40d

  • I was expecting the shutter sound was more quiet. Actually the shutter sound of the 5D sounds like the door of a Rolls-Royce, that of the 5D Mk2 of a Kia Rio... Even the 40D is more quiet. A little disappointment, but that is the only one. The camera is excellent!

  • @RobW68 don't worry, some people love 'tough' shutter sound. Most of my friends don't really like weak shutter sound.

  • Same shutter sound between 1/200 and 1/8000 because you're not in the fastest burst-mode. So that was quite unnecessary to film ^^

  • Mine sounds similarly.

b.t.w. Can you feel slight vibration during that shutter-rewnd "zzz" sound?

  • haha what a shit video!! the mark 2 is to good to just be wanking to the shutter sounds! lols give it to someone who can use it! jerk off!! haha

  • Yo how many continous RAWs can it do??

  • Fourteen.

  • Sounds like a staple gun in my favor.

  • Sorry I am failing to see the interest here!

Bet Youtube are really happy having to store this useless piece of film making.

  • Well I guess to someone like yourself, it isn't interesting at all. But some of us, myself included, who can better judge the camera's handling by listening to the burst, it's incredibly interesting and recommended for posting. Also, this isn't film making, which involves using film and lots of money... this is DIGITAL VIDEO my friend. So go and look up your olympus point-n-shoot or something while we enjoy the sweet sounds of this big-boy camera. OWNED.

  • you´re a noob!! hahaha

  • the shutter sound is lovely as i thought.

but still nikon is better, but i love canon.

  • Gibt schon echt durchgeknallte Typen ;)

  • why dont u put it on highspeed continuous ?

  • It was on continuous, it's just the mark 2 fails at high speed.

    Like all canons.

  • bullshit...

  • nahh, the D90 shutter isn't that good. the nikon F5 is the ferrari of shutters.

the D70s isn't too bad either.

  • Dude, I splooge in my pants when I hear the D90 shutter.

  • thats right....but the shutter of the 1Ds and eos 50D are also not bad though....better than the 400D/450D/500D.

  • Nice shuter sound dude, but have you heard about the black dot problem appearing when shooting high ISO between 400-6400 at night? you wont see it at normal viewing but if you view it at your PC monitor in maximum magnification you will see the black dot. Hopefully yours is not affected goodluck dude.

  • Are you like a Nikon fanboy or something?

  • Not a nikon fan boy, actualy i use canon equipment if they ever make a canon CF cards i probably buy them. Im just asking if your 5D is affected thats all no harm done.Coz im planning to buy one very soon but then i heard about this block dot problem and it dissapoint me. it could have been one of the greatest dslr.
