  • G'day Mate Our Aussie sausage SIZZLE!!!MATEY US AUSSIES CAN HELP BUT PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRYS are rude they don't even help its all us AUSSIE! Have A G' Day today.

  • As a Canadian, it's videos like these, which are the reason my family and i are planning to relocate to Australia! That and the lack of snow!

  • I wish it could be like this in England!!

  • @BenzKowit Me too mate, I was about to write something similar apart from where I live in Leeds people would have been crying over their possessions, straight onto the phone for the council to sort it out, going through months of insurance claims and while everything is left festering on the streets some little bastards would steal your stuff and the shirt off ya back too. I'm not proud to be British and I wish I could move to Australia where people are actually human!

  • I'm islander . N our youth spent 8 hours cleaning up 3 whole streets :) PROUD TO BE AUSSIE MATE !

  • Stripyhead ftw!

  • proud to be Aussie!

  • hmmm....so australians love their nation...u guys must have a strong soul...I am proud to be Greek

  • that was funny!!!...when u were talking about the volunteers u used words like them, they, ants but when giving credit out for how good these people are u use the words we,us...lmao!!!...where was your bright colored vest?...TOO FUNNY!

  • I think the water and sandwiches were probably meant for those that were effected by the flood or somebody helping clean up or maybe even for those that donate money to those that were effected. But i am almost sure that it was definitely not meant to provide lunch for somebody walking around with a video camera trying to make money off of video taping their misery......(just a thought)

  • thats not love and respect ... thats just being a true aussie

  • As a Kiwi (yeah yeah I know..baaa baaa) just got to say that Aussies under pressure and coping with disaster etc are rock solid. Good on yer mates for showing the world how to get on with it. If it aint floods its bush fires or hurricanes yet no bastard can bowl you lot over.!! Its also great that we can send volunteers over to help out our ANZAC mates.

  • Wow! This video made ME feel proud for Australians, and I'm not even Aussie myself. Way to go, guys! Keep it that way!

  • G day StripyHead'

    nice upload .

  • <3 australia frm nz forever:)

  • great video mate it makes me proud to be aussie that shows the true aussie spirit awesomeness

  • Thanks for those amazing videos. I live up the street from your Aunt and Uncle and I can't wait to share the videos with the neighbours. Talking about what we've been through has not only made us closer but has saved us hundreds of dollars on therapy! You're right, it was an awesome time demonstrated by the tragedy and mateship.

  • See now, we got coverd in snow here over christmas last year (2010), our government let us down, they didnt seem to be doing anything. But something amazing happend. My neighbours got out their houses and we all worked together, to clear the street and help each other out. It was brilliant. Its great to see how australians coped after what happend, i think id be too gutted about losing everything to do anything like that for a few days.....

  • Makes me proud to be australian!

  • i hope QLD heals soon i feel so bad!

  • Its funny how TheBlogcrew is hiding their channel like a coward now lol

  • From the Mrs via Facebook "I have just sat and watched this and i was moved to tears....it just shows you that in this ever changing sometime evil world there are still wonderful, kind, caring people about :-)"

  • @ozzyguy67

I meant a flood of this scale, you silly aussie.

Im not proud to be scum but you aussies sure as heck are, lol.

  • @ozzyguy67

I could careless about south africa.

If a flood happened there i'd pop a bottle of champagne, and lol for a few hours.

    You Scum-stralian.

    Scummy scummy scummy

    oi oi oi

  • I wonder if they'd have given that water to a fockin heathen atheist ... if they only knew. :)

Good to see everyone working together and getting things done. In some places in america (e.g. Katrina) you did not see this sort of comradery and work ethic exhibited so soon after the event. Many sat on their asses and looked for a government handout.

  • @ozzyguy67

    I live in victoria.

Do you want to start something you pathetic aussie?

  • @ThePunisherNWO

I've never actually been to Berwick myself. What's it like?

  • @thomasnonsense

Its extremely shitty, country, and just plain backward.

Its about as rural as taking a step 50 years back into the past.

  • @ozzyguy67

ThePunisherNWO is 18 year old Rosh Benjamin. His profile states his location as Australia.

If he wants to be an offensive troll, perhaps he should remove the Facebook link from his profile. It took two clicks to go from the comments for this video to his Facebook profile. The guy's obviously a complete and utter clown.

  • @thomasnonsense

Yes......im the clown...wait...im not australia tho?

    waitwut?

  • @ThePunisherNWO

You were born in South Africa. You're quite welcome to go back if you don't like it here.

  • @thomasnonsense

Dont like it here ? i fucking despise it here.

And why go back there ?

You faggot aussies always see things in 2D, open your mind for once.

  • @ozzyguy67

ive had enough of you bastard aussies

you people are the real waste of space

    fucking aussie

  • I am extremely proud of seeing shots from helicopters of whole suburbs swarming with people who are helping. In a sad world, where greed is destroying city after city, it's nice to know that there's one corner of the world that still breeds so many decent, caring people.

  • It must be the ANZAC in us

  • Sending you emotional support and e-hugs! I looked for you on facebook to send you some love, but I couldn't find you :( You're amazing-- hang in there!

  • i agree with you zimonslot!!!!!

YOUR A FUCKING HERO THANK YOU 4 HAVING THE BALLS TO SAY THAT.

    Preach bro!

  • Comment removed

  • @ThePunisherNWO - Aussies get things done. That's why you live in in envy (as displayed by your sad attitude). Watch and learn!

  • @FreedomWorkShop

Im not envious of people who are self-centered, egocentric rude, racist and just general degenerates.

    so fuck of you simpleton

  • @ThePunisherNWO - You mean "off". We can spell over here too :)

  • Its like this every where it flooded everyones helping,

The rest of the world needs to to take some tips from us in australia in a disaster

Auzzie's give what they can & help where they can

  • @ih8bearshare

    LOL, silly australian.

"Off" means to cease function, its the opposite of "on".

"Of" the correct way, and the way i spelled it means belonging to or associated with.

People of the following attributes, self-centered ness, egocentricity racism and degeneration are australians.

Next time you pathetic aussies try to act like grammar nazis on the internet, double check.

I never brought up spelling either way, but eh, typical australian fucker, always starting trouble with people.

  • @ThePunisherNWO

    umm your a fuck head!

    Positive comments get positive results

every one looks at your comments & just go's what a dick head

people like you just get on here and type shit to make them selfs feel important

i bet your just some silly little fuck kid sitting in a dark room typing away & playing your playstation

    i feel sorry for you

if you dont have anything good to add keep it to your self

while your reading this im off to the beach to have a great day!

  • @ih8bearshare

    oh really? me?

i love a good contradiction story.

Everything you fucking faggot aussies ( in real life and online) say is just straight bullshit, and negativity fowarded to other people, such as myself.

But all you people are too close minded to realize it, and you reply to those comments as "haha yeah good on ya mate" which btw is the most fucking irriating saying in the world.

lol making me out to be the bad guy ? classic australian wordplay...or lack of.

  • @ThePunisherNWO If I were you I wouldn't criticize other countries when you're living in them, especially in times such as these, Get off YouTube please.

  • It doesn't surprise me at all to see Australians help each other. They're great people and built tough.

  • I so admire everyone's efforts participating in the enormous clean up you all face. The solidarity you speak of is not just Australian though. The world is full of nations who have such fighting spirit against awful disasters and the ability to overcome and pull together in the face of adversity. I am very glad the clean up is going so well and hope people's lives can get back to normality ASAP.

  • If I were in Aus, I would have come up to Brisbane and stayed at your place.

No no, not to help out, just to hit the bong with you.

Oh ok, I probably would have helped out too.

  • I'm an American ... and yeah .... he's right. Aussie's are a special kind of people.

  • Jesus christ, after reading a few reactions I can't help to think you aussies think you're some kind of special people, better then the rest. Fuck that.

  • @zimonslot Yep we are proud of who we are. Don't be jealous that you only had Hans Brinker on call.

  • @showlink

I have no idea what that means, but I'm just as proud to be Dutch as you are to be Australian.

  • @zimonslot The little boy who stuck his finger in the dike.

  • Comment removed

  • @zimonslot Zimonslot, what would you say if your area was hit by disaster? Would you help others or would you criticize those that do help others? Git.

  • Pff. Bullshit, people will unite under difficult circumstances anywhere. Except new orleans.

  • @zimonslot Now you're picking on New Orleans? Get a life, zimonslot.

  • I'm an American. Troll me pl0x? Just kidding. Thumbs up!

  • Brilliant, any other country they'd want the army to come in and help. No crying or moaning just getting stuck in and getting it sorted.

  • For once i had to dislike a video of yours. You try to make the point that because you live in a certain country you are better than other people and more caring than other people. A very similar thing happened to my community and the exact same results came from it. People bonded together and worked together and got the shit done. Its not that Im proud to be American or your proud to be Australian, we are both proud to be human and this is what real humanity is, people caring for people. peace

  • @MrConsarnit my experience is this kind of widespread community cooperation is far less common in other western countries comparable to Australia. Many, who actually have experience with the matter, will agree. Of course there are exceptions, but it is what I have observed.

  • @MrConsarnit - This video mentioned nothing about other countries. There's nothing wrong with being proud to see your fellow countrymen roll their sleeves up and help each other.

  • wow! you suck man, like the old man would say either get the fuck out of the way, or get the fuck to work. Shameless man really SHAMELESS!

  • I have kept you and your family in my.........."prayers" (cough cough) lulz.

    Seriously, best wishes mate.

  • Good to see there are still caring people in the world. I guarantee you if that crisis hit here in south Texas , there would be looting, murder and rape of epic proportions. Thanks for posting stripy! Dan

  • That is something. Thanks for keeping up updated on the real story out there! It's awesome how humans can pull together to accomplish good. :D

  • I guess this flood will be a "good" way to get rid off all the junk one always has in a house.

No more: " honey you told me you would take care of the two old fridges and the old mattress that are taking so much place in our garage THIS saturday!"

    Maybe that's one positive point...

  • This would never happen in U.S.A. in 10 years cause everyone is selfish and greedy over here!!!

  • Well done my Australian friends.

Thanks, Greg, for showing us this awesome spirit!

We can all take a lesson from this video. :)

  • when i went to brisbane i notced the street poles are made of wood, whats the deal with them, they should be all waterlogged and unstable now

  • There's nothing on CNN & they're the biggest news channel in the USA & have their own multi-billion dollar satellite so there's no excuse why they haven't broadcast anything. Maybe it's because they're embarrassed to show Americans the shameful difference of how Katrina victims were abandoned for many days with no food or water. I'll be telling Americans about this whenever they start mouthing off about being the best country in the world. Australians are born with the "right stuff"!!

  • So proud to be Australian <3

  • I'm not trying to be rude, but I hope I never accumulate so much shit. I'm 23 and everything I own can fit into a duffle bag so when I travel, I don't have to leave anything behind. I don't understand the point of a human being being in possession of so much STUFF.

Aside from that, you know I feel bad for these people. I have to add that so people don't think I'm thinking, "These people wouldn't be in a mess if they didn't have so much STuFF"

  • as a volunteer many years ago , u see all sorts of people in all situations of need, but its the true aussie spirit that sets us apart from the world , and us true aussies will always put our hand up to help regardless .selflesness and attitude is what makes our country the greatest, go aussies you make every one proud!!!!!!

  • YO DIS VIDEO IS RACIST!!! I DONT SEE NO MUTHAFUCKEN BLACKS YO!!! AUSTRALIA IS RACISSS!!!

  • @JoanBeatrington fuckup idiot

  • @jlarks93 - haha

  • @JoanBeatrington ... I swear people write shit like this just so they can get a full on reaction. And its working. Quit being an idiot and get over yourself; Australia's copping alot right now in ALL states with the floods, so shut up.

  • @JoanBeatrington .....yo.. yo eat Obama's dick

  • Really been enjoying the coverage videos mate...

  • Beautiful. I love people sometimes. Thanks for posting MrStripyHead. Hope you're all OK, great to see such community spirit alive and kicking. Thoughts are with everyone affected by the floods. :)

  • Great vid as always Stripy, thanks for keeping us informed. You're doing a great job here and it's great to see people pulling together like this. Keep up the great work and don't let the negative shits here get you down. Most are positive anyway.

  • Mr. Stripyhead, you are amazing mate! Thanks for bringing this video to us. I'm an Aussie living in Poland (sometimes I think... unfortunately living here) and this is a great reminder of how helpful us Aussies are. I really appreciate you bringing this video to us.

    Cheers mate.

    Clint

  • Great series Greg. Well done.

  • @TheBlogcrew can you tell your mother to give me a call? she has my number

  • @MrStripyHead hahaha brilliant

  • @MrStripyHead

Well he did call you a mother fucker... He clearly believes you're shaggin someone's mum.

  • @MrStripyHead It's ppl like you who's causing freaken traffic jam all around where volunteers trying to get in and help

  • @TheBlogcrew Take your negativity somewhere else please. :)

  • @TheBlogcrew no clue

  • @TheBlogcrew Do you even know what spelling is? i wish you did... then maybe you could learn how to spell "fuck". This has been a tragedy and you do nothing but sit and bitch. And if you had been watching the chain of videos (which is clearly obvious, that you have not) you would have know that he has helped clean his aunt and uncles. As for you Greg, I've watched this flood unfold and seen the damage just from my computer screen. It is quite terrible. Good luck to you, and everyone else!

  • @driver98753 eat a dick !

  • @usuxshit1 wow. what a comeback. you must have thought about that one for hours. congratulations are in order. good job at just looking like a bigger ass. so why don't you take a hint from your retarded cunt name and go away. do the world a favor, and disappear. cuse i don't think anyone would care.

  • @TheBlogcrew did you not here him say "I helped him clean up this place". Plus filming something like that what of taken at max an hour. So there was probably 10 more hours that he could have been helping. What a keyboard warrior!

  • @TheBlogcrew What a fucken loser.

  • @TheBlogcrew Get off YouTube please.

  • @TheBlogcrew cunt fuck up u prick. i agree half these aus youtubers are shit cunts but dont fucking say shit on a flood disasta vid u stupid cunt. show sum fucking respect mother fucker

  • @fabisadirtycunt lol half australian youtubers are are "shit cunts"? where you even able to read what you wrote? that my friend is called being a "degenerate" learn to insult people with words other that "Fuck, Cunt and Shit" because when you try to insult people like that, you are really only making yourself out to be the fool, but thanks for aggressively defending those "shit cunts" because they had a flood, on behalf of Australia i thanksyou, Hint: "Sarcasm"

  • @TheBlogcrew - Little boys like you are amusing ... you run your mouth then run and hide. Typically pathetic. Congratulations, you're average.

  • I am so proud to call myself an Australian. We can get through thick and thin. All these people that came to help are the true representation of patriots. I wish all the best to those that are in grief still and struck into hard times. Let's have a beer on the 26th and celebrate this amazing nation of ours!

  • who were the 3 dume FUCKS who dislike raw video of the mess and floods

people have lost so much and mr stripyhead has showen us so much

    thank you for your videos

  • @01silky1 usuxshit1 and TheBlogcrew are two of those fucks. i'll tell you...

  • Would love to up there lending a hand, great coverage mate...

  • It's good to see things starting to look normal again. It's a tragic thing to go through but I think when it's all said and done that community will be a stronger one. Good on you for showing us around the world this.

  • I genuinely wanted to get up there and help But I just couldn't afford the trip there. But it's fucking brilliant the amount of people who just drop everything and start helping people that they've never even met.

  • Three people actually thumbed this down? What cunts! Good on ya QLanders. Everybody I spoke to before the floodwater went down had already decided, as if it were obvious, that they'd be helping out. Your pride's definately not misplaced.

  • to bad this only happens when (relatively) small area's are hit, if this would happen world wide there would be complete anarchy

  • Good stuff there, that's a strong community and I bet these people who a week ago were strangers will now be mates for life. That's the Aussie spirit. Makes me proud to be ,Aussie born and bred.

  • Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. OI, OI, OI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awsome to see everyone getting stuck into it and sorting this huge mess out.

  • ya'll dont need guns because ya'll go to the fema camps willingly. BRISBANE -- Queensland Premier Anna Bligh warned on Monday that Brisbane, Australia's third largest city, is facing a homelessness crisis. According to Bligh, it was clear that a lot of people will be rendered homeless for an extended period, as all options, including 'work-camp style' shelters were being considered to provide temporary accommodation to the flood victims.

  • I was very encouraged to note that while you were assessing the damage in your region you were following occupational health and safety protocols and wearing your JAPANESE SAFETY BOOTS! On another note a very informative video for the rest of us Aussies congratulations. Cheers and getamulletupyah.

  • So great to see so many people helping out. It is amazing how much that wonderful team of volenteers have gotten done. Thank you for making this video, after seeing so much devistation it is uplifting to see things getting back to some sort of normality.

  • Fuck yeah Australia! Most of the time I really REALLY can't stand living in my home state of TN... mainly because I'm right in the center of the bible belt, but when we had our flood last year everyone came together and it was cool to see.

Except when FEMA showed up :D

  • No anger or annoyance? Fascinating. One more reason Aussies are just cool as hell...

  • for the people that dislike this go and get fucked and die the australian spirit is amazing and i hope someone organises a massive free concert for all the people in the floods

  • Wonder what happened to the neighbor with the loud house alarm...

  • Wow truly amazing from Canada .True tragedy turn into a positive with the everyone helping one another. If was there when this happened as tourist i jump right in and help,

  • Watching this made me feel so proud to be Australian, everyone being so selfless. Seeing all those volunters giving their time to make food and lending some muscle to help random strangers is really touching. Thanks again stripyhead, you really made my day!

  • That is awesome.

  • We should send care packages to all the garbage collectors and insurance agents of Brisbane!

  • I hear the insects survived as well. Any mosquitoes anywhere near?

It's great to see relative normality being established so soon. Good ol' Aussies!

  • Gives me faith in mankind. It made me teary eyed. The best to you all from USA.

  • Aussies rebuild the second its over and don't screw around!

  • Amazing!

  • Stunning mate. Absolutely amazed at your ( Australians ) spirit and sense of... Well... Family perhaps?

I only wished that people around here had half the spirit you lot do.

Although I kind of giggled that there was so many barbies on the go. Somehow I wasnt surprised at that.

    Take care my friend.

  • America used to be like this. Except for the rural areas and a few isolated pockets, this sense of volunteer community action began to disappear over 50 years ago

Worshipping at the altar of the "Nanny State", most now seem content to complain and wait like helpless victims nowadays

The state could never compel the populace to pitch in like this, especially for no compensation. It is the glory of individualism in action, and the leftists detest it

I envy you Aussies. Guard your individualism

  • The indomitable Aussie spirit. Wonderful video mate. Thank you!

  • My God you people are AMAZING ,this should be shown AROUND THE WORLD ,show them how you get back on your feet .GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL

  • @TheWelshie1 Brits used to be quite accomplished at this. Unfortunately, the "Blitz" was the last occurence - when Churchill was voted out, the "Nanny State" began to spread it's tentacles and much of the population lost the concept of individual initiative.

In the US, the post-Hurricane Katrina debacle in New Orleans exposed to the world the complete worthlessness of the clients of the "Nanny State" to help themselves. And even worse, their DEMANDS for the state to provide for their every whim

  • 3:57 gave me goosebumps mate

    excellent video!! bloody great!!!

  • That's fantastic Greg! Totally restores my faith in humanity. I know you probably grafted yourself, because you that kind of guy. Much Peace! and I'll see you Laaaaaayter.

  • I was at New Farm on Saturday as a volunteer. Was a lot of helpers. Was good to see. People were walking around handing out free water bottles and beer and there were sausag sizzles, pizza, etc as well.

Sadly I saw tourists, people just driving around doing nothing constructive, helping themselves to the free food, but they were vastly outnumbered by the helpers.

  • Truly touching!

  • Everything is coming together.

  • To the one person so far who dislikes this vid - Your a FUCKWIT!, If you live in Australia, Give yaself an uppercut and GTFO cunt!....If your not?, Then do us all a favor and never fuckin come here!...FMD some peole are just fucked in the head aye!

  • It can't help but make one feel good.

  • Not exclusivley an Aussie trait helping out in times of need. You only have to look at the English during the blitz, but well done none the less..

  • what a great video mrstripyhead :) it's very uplifting to see something like that after watching so many other flooding videos..well done to everyone! ^-^

  • This is why us Australians love this country because of our great Australian spirit.

and im proud to be an Australian and to live in this wonderful country of Australia

    :) :)

  • NSW will still lose origin :)

  • Wow thats just AWESOME!!

Now the question is are the insurance companies gonna help or is FAB right and they might try to sleaze there way outta paying for claims ?

  • I want to move to Australia... That's not something I normally say after seeing a video of a place right after they've been victims of a natural disaster...

  • Great Video; glad to see that DIY attitude I've heard about. Others woud be too busy complaining and waiting for that hand out in a country that shall remain nameless.

  • These volunteers were legendary !!!

  • keep up the great vlogs. this is what aussies do we stick together it's heart warming

  • This is amazing! However, I think this sort of thing cannot be compared to Haiti and other devastated places people as people have said. The major difference is that people have the money to help. The government is strong enough and able enough to help coordinate something like this. Well done guys!

  • @missyflower I can agree, but I think that there is a strong feeling of pride in Queensland / Australia, where [people believe this is "my town", city etc and believe that helping each other is helping themselves. I don't think people in Haiti feel like they own their city.. they just struggle for survival. It's not about poverty, except that people who can't see a life beyond base survival are bound to be poor.

  • @Logicbeatslies And here

  • @missyflower The money to help? I thought these were volunteers?

The major difference is whether or not a people believe they can control their destiny. And thereupon act upon that belief. That is why Haiti has regressed for 200 years and Australia advanced.

  • Australians are so cool. Would you adopt a 28 year old American dude, Greg?

  • Well done Australia! I am impressed.

  • we all go on about the lack of respect & decency in today's society but here is a outstanding example of how good people can be if they want too, shame it wont last, next week they will be back to a nod & alright mate in passing

  • i'm jealous, i want to an aussie

    great work greg

    gold star for you

  • This makes me wonder if emos exist in Austrailia. If getting your home destroyed doesn't bring you down, how could "no one understands me!"?

  • @InuitInua They do have emus, those long necks come in handy in a flood.

  • That's amazing!

You wont see something like that here..

People are too busy looking after themselves here :(

  • I wish more towns were like that.

  • Amazing...

Well, Sorry to bring it up but... This puts the US Army to SHAME... Haiti is still a mess.

  • @DackIsBack How can the US Army help those who won't help themselves? The US Army was able to assist a devastated Europe after WWII with much less effort and much less money per capita as is being expended in Haiti.

  • Amazing video. It's a great thing to see people helping out like that to take some of the massive burden off of people who could have literally had their entire lives destroyed and to keep spirits high for everyone. Just beautiful.

  • way to pull together in such a beautiful country

  • Proof you don't need some god to see something miraculous.
