I got to get me one of these. Flawed as it is, the Schwimmvagen is an awesome car-thing. Most people today would find it to be one of the most bizarre things on the road.

ah yes it is amazing that a total of 15,584 Type 166 Schwimmwagen cars were produced; 14,276 at Fallersleben and 1,308 by Porsche. Only 133 are known to remain today, and only 13 have survived without restoration work.

Yes, but Nazi Germany gave us so many cool little toys like the Schwimmwagen to play with after they were crushed utterly for their evil, so it balances out in the end.
