4. Everything i did was:

- unsold the mic and sold 3.5 jack (not in the same place ofcourse)

- unsold the original speaker and sold the wires on the bell electronic

How it works? You connect the 3.5 jack cabel from this to any mp3, computer or whatever that have output for 3.5 jack. Press the record butoon and it will record playing mp3 "song" directly through the jack cabel to the bell....

tadaaa.... now you need only some visitor to ring on your bell :D

Hi, to your questions:

1. the sounds are .mp3 files - there was a site some xxx years ago with all computer qoutes - i think smth star trek sound and vision

2. Its ordinary door bell (the cheapest one) on two AAA batteries.

3. On the doorbell is solder on an cheap electronic piece - voice recorder for paper wishcards. It can record max 10 or 12 seconds through a mic.

Oh this remonds me of something from uni ... is it a flashable ROM chip or something? FLASH memory? MY memory wont work! :D Great toy though :)
