I want to buy this film, but it is too expensive. 24 bucks for a DVD of an independent documentary... c'mon guys, looks like big pharma has had bad infuence on you after all!!! Make it downloadable for a dollar or so and you will a) make money and b) spread your message. Very few people will buy it at $ 24.

leka9 $24 for a dvd is NOT cheap but this direct sale is our ONLY source of income We are still struggling to find a distributor. TV networks do not seem eager to have troubles with Big Pharma (ex: cuts on the advertising budget, lawsuits...) My co-author and I have produced this film with our own savings and we are trying at least to recoup some of the expenses anticipated. But we'll look also for another way to reach students or people who cannot pay the DVD's full price. AB

thanks for the reply! I hope you guys find a distributor. yes, there is a lot of fear from big pharma, they spend a "small" fortune on advertising and promotion (25 bn a year me thinks) and every one wants a piece of that money.

These people are bright and they are trying to help. Something bad happened, and now they are trying to fix it by taking the drug off the market and educating people on what the risks are. Who cares if if "artsy" journalists can make a movie off of it...

example: doctors in other countries are astonished that direct-to-consumer television advertising for prescription drugs is legal and is considered "normal" in the u.s. why should it be legal to market & sell drugs in the same way as nike sports shoes?... watch the docu "big bucks, big pharma" on google video

i completely agree. I'm just reluctant to think that they aren't. It's a very large liability on their part to be so careless as to put a drug on the market that they knew was harmful... I think it's a little rash to assume that they would do that without proof.

i have read those!! they are very good. furthuremore, i go to a natureopathic doctor, and he saved my life when i was nine years old. i'm not kidding, i didn't take drugs, a natureopathic doctor balanced my nutrition and did a blood test to find out which vitamins i was not getting enough of. it was that simple. now i'm fifteen, i'm healthy, and i want people to know the truth.
