In just my opinion badminton, you answered your own question. Tivo is an excellent dvr that will solve your need to record your shows. It can be pretty pricey, so if its out of your budget, paying for a dvr from time warner might me easier for your budget. Personally, I skip using DVR and just use hulu for many shows that I want to see on demand.
thanks for all the info. and I want to ask some question on my cable. I have time warner cable and no box to use so I just hook it to my hdtv and did a auto search and I have some hdtv and my question is do you know what is the best hd dvr or how to choose one that work without monthy payment like tivo so I could record something and witch company is better than other and many thinks for answer my questions
Dude...you took waaaay too long explaining it. Just show what cables are needed next time. It will save others the trouble of not having to watch a 9 minute video when all they needed was like 1 minute's worth of it.
