  • They need to reopen his museum in Vegas! Glad I got to see it when it was open back in the 90s. [Like] if you agree.

  • I didn't know the man until LITERALLY 20 minutes ago when I read on him on Wikipedia. Already, I love this man!!! I love his style. He betta work lol (Rupaul's voice speaking). The house, the lavish clothes and jewelry. I'm not even a materialistic person, but after seeing him, I now don't mind it for some odd reason. Where has this man been all my life. I love this dude!!!

  • Le faltaron plumas.

  • God I would have loved to see this live.

  • Wow he looks like my friend Franco, lol.

  • only in America , god bless America

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Fabulous" is not a big enough word. Not a big enough word.

  • @cfidellmt Absolutely agree. I don't think the English language has a word to define exactly what Liberace was. You get the occasional hater and jealous peon, but few really appreciate his work--his art.

  • who the hell is he???

  • @steffazia He was called Mr. Showmanship by many. A pianist and showman, very popular in Vegas in his later career but also had a tv show in the 50s. He died in the mid-80s, I believe.

  • WOW, he wakes up with his hair combed and dressed, which product do this ??

  • it sucks to be straight!

  • He was one of the greatest showmen the world will ever know and a kind and gentle man.

  • Bea Arthur should have played him.

  • When you can play the piano like that, you can enter in style..

  • Michael Douglas doing a film on him !! that will be good

  • The american dream. I am fascinated.

  • Liberace is truley one of the most amazing and interesting people ever.

  • Just put pay to any wrinkles for a while! Hahahahah! BB x

  • There is more style to this man than I have in one finger. God bless you, Liberace! We miss you!

  • 100% Show Man

  • 100% Show Man

  • His big closet would make any woman jealous.

  • Liberace was the definition of Showmanship. No wonder Kid Rock used the "Liberace Flash" reference.

  • Can you say Mtv Cribs!!! He was doing this way before anybody else!!!

  • You just gotta love the look on the maids face at 2:32!!! I wonder what she is thinking? Hmm....

  • That coat weighs 137lbs. It's in the Guinness Records as the most expensive coat ever made. I love that coat. <3 <3 <3

  • @EelKat Hi EelKat thanks for info. How much? Take care BB

  • the home that taste forgot.... this man makes Elton John look like a Lumberjack!

  • Wow. What an intro! When I was a college student I went to Vegas with some friends. They decided to gamble and I went alone to the Liberace museum and I am so glad I did. My Father told me about him and Liberace is overall an entertainment benchmark that perhaps no one can match. Even today he could say: Take that, Lady Gaga, is an entrance in an egg the best you can do?". I also like Lady Gaga, but no one is Liberace.

  • @MaryWr1124 You like Lady Gaga..... what?

  • i thing this made me gay..

  • @markpee29 do sports have a cold shower...

  • I always appreciated the understated elegance. A simple, down to earth performance where the craft is not marred by a flamboyant style - sort of like Lady Gaga.:-)

  • There are a couple of movie bios about him. One was with Victor Garber. But I'll be darned if I can find it!

  • "I´m taking it off ,it+s hotter than Hell". Epic XD

  • I remember when this concert played on Showtime (might have been HBO) a loooong time ago. I'd love to see it for sale somewhere. Too bad Scott Thorson (the driver of the Rolls Royce in the video) ended up stabbing Liberace in the back by outing, and suing him. It as a horrible "final act" for a wonderful man and his career.

  • @crazee4mm

That's interesting- and kind of impressive that you know about him. I just looked him up on Wikipedia and it would seem he has led quite a life since Liberace. Apparently he has a common law wife which I find surprising. Someone should do an interview with him.

  • omg he's amazing!

  • That was fantastic. He was so warm and genuinely funny. Cute chauffer ;)

  • I really loved this brother.Mr.Showmanship himself.Theres only one.He stood out

  • 2:46

    Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo housemaid!

  • i never realized Liberace was so funny. i only knew he was a talented entertainer/pianist.

  • @wolliollie - He wasn't straight, and the guy disguised as the chaffeur is really has live in lover. They had been together for years. They both lived a few houses down from me in Palm Springs, and could be seen in the shopping center across the road from his house.

  • His prescence reminds me of my dentist! Bit that's a great thing!

  • My dad tells me about his parents seeing this man, tells of story's of Liberace performance's and how grand they were, now by seeing this video i so can understand , he was great!

  • wow, this is like modern-day franz lizst (i'm surely not the first one to say that)

  • he's the grinch that stole all Christmas bling

  • Rappers are jealous of this guys bling!

  • @SuperHeroMan411 Fo Shizzle!

  • So much BLNG t make my eye's hurt.

  • The announcer is quite funny xD

  • I want his wardrobe: all the bling makes me drool!

  • Before MJ had Neverland, the white glove and bubbles there was Liberace. Before P Diddy, Lil Wayne got the BLING BLING, Liberace already had more BLING than even they will ever see.

  • YOUR GAY GOD! Seriously Gays should just recognize him as their lord and savior and create a gay religion around him and cannot get married unless it is in a Liberace Church.

  • Who cares if He or anyone else is or were gay??? It is SO unimportant!

  • If you recall from the press so many years, Scott Thorsen was his partner. I believe he tried to sue Liberace's estate after he passed. I liked the way he interacted with his audience.

  • HES JUST SO ELEGANT....

  • The greatest gay of them all..

  • It is a shame a Legacy and his Museum has closed due to hard times, lets hope when he was alive he lived everything to the Full.

That young kid who drove his car on stage pretty much stole his life away in his retirement yrs, and I don't think he had AIDS either, Nobody knew shit back then, and his driver is HIV neg. A British lad's comments

  • Man this guy was the example...."There's no accounting for taste" despite one's wealth.

  • God, I can't wait till Steven Soderberg's biopic comes out! I really hope Michael Douglas can do it.

  • He had some real talent, that's undeniable. Very talented and over the top. The ladies just loved him, wishing they could date him after the show. Well, that wasn't going to happen. But, what a show!!

  • Boy do I miss Liberace

  • loved it! RIP oh great Liberace

  • gay, Liberace gay

  • @XAVIERCUERVO southpark?

  • What a hoot! I loved/love him!! ♥

  • Whoa! Take THAT, PETA!

  • @RBNightlinger now that's funny...

  • @RBNightlinger rofl! I wonder what peta has to say about that doozey!

  • @RBNightlinger LOL!!!

  • @RBNightlinger HAHA

  • was scott his lover ???

  • I was doing good watching this, until I imagined all those little dead virgin foxes!

Bling and pizzazz for sure, he was really something. Legendary.

Want Glam and excitement nowadays and an excellent voice? Adam Lambert is your entertainer! Listen to 'Soaked' first, then go for the video for 'If I had you' .... you won't be disappointed.

  • @asderso Yep, I'm happy. Are you? Oh yeah you wanna be Liberace. haha. nice shitty acting video uploads. Keep chasin' that rainbow, pal.

  • @dirtpipedan reverse psychology tells me the "Yep, I'm happy" to be in reality a "NO, I'm not happy" The immediate question " Are you?" also tells me a defensive dude who immediately needs to be in control, all insecure about his "happinness" and bam !! little ironical.

So you did not like my acting. About chasing my dream, don't worry.

  • @asderso ok well. enough talking to crazy people on youtube. later.

  • @dirtpipedan crazy people scare people, I'm glad at least I made you feel "something" in your defensive Life.

  • He had me until he mentioned the coat was made of fox...

  • This is a good clip to see why Liberace was voted Mr Showmanship. This video was for his show at the Hilton.

  • Something tells me Scott is a little bit more than just his driver...

  • @krhackley BINGO!

  • @phmike69 thank you, well... as a middle-class men you can enjoy a decent life, but hey !! those kind of human destinies like to be sooooooooo rich LIBERACE was, are rare, rare, rare !!

Majority of humans will never know the "thrill" to be Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Liberace... etc.

  • @phmike69 thank you, sigh...... I always wanted to live like that, lol.

    Do you live like that?

  • Was he gay?

  • @zamusicza Uh..., yeah!

  • Es ist ein Genie-Fantastich

  • Now, that's what you call "an entrance"!

  • Who cares about his "sexual orientation" the man was undeniable entertainment - years before "bling". When Liberace showcased his flamboyance it was classy and beautiful not overboard and obnoxious like todays "celebrities".

  • Kraken i guess thats your opinion. To me he was the best and yeah i was serious

  • Geesh everytime i look at one of his videos, you have some idiot posting he was gay??

Geesh people he was the best piano player in the world, whi cares if he was gay, that was his business, cant you just enjoy his tallent and music.

Geesh im out of shape to does that make me a bad guy, my god, it gets old reading some of these posts from people about his personal business.

Showmanlee, thanks for taking the time to list these great videos of the besst of the best...

    Liberace!

  • @Turkeydoodlers

"..he was the best piano player in the world...?"

Are you serious? Even if there was a quantifiable way of ascertaining "the best", Liberace would never have anywhere near a serious claim, indeed he never would have made such an assertion. He had genuine technical proficiency (as did Dudley Moore, for example) but was primarily a showman who never developed from his early radio days, never moved on stylistically - just upped the flashy mannerisms and cheesy muzak sound.

  • @krakenwave I found it odd that he never veered out side of the usual late romantic styles of Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky. Lots of Beethoven, lots of Mozart. He never considered the impressionists like Debussy and Ravel. He never did any works for piano by Stravinsky or Prokoviev. Did he ever perform the works of modernists like Bartok or Aaron Copeland? Am I the only one bewildered by the fact that he never approached any of the early 20th century composers?

  • "iced out like liberace"

  • Are this the surroundings in which LIBERACE spens his daily Life???

  • Does it really matter whom he loved? He loved his fans and thats the best.

  • now this is entertainment

  • The maid who appears at 2:30 looks like my friend Karen Johnson.

  • Seems like all the great musical performers are leaving us......

  • SHES SUCH A LADY

  • Excuse me, mavphanton. Did you mean to call me a "liar" or a "lier".??? Make up your mind. Then go grab a dictionary before you post . I am not a liar OR a lier.

  • Personalmente creo que si era no era gay no es realmente importante, tampoco si fue extravagante, rococó, provocativo o kitsch. Fue su vida, su elección.

Sin dudas fue un artista talentoso con el piano, y eso es lo verdaderamente importante.

  • life on a protein diet.

  • If I was making $50,000 per week in the 1950s,I'd have the best of everything too.

  • I absolutely LOVE this video. I hope they make a movie of his life. There is one in the making directed by Steven Soderberg starring Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as Scott Thorsen. I live in Liberace's old mansion, where the beginning of this video was filmed. We still have his same bed and bedroom furniture.

  • @lyndelgado lier

  • @lyndelgado hahahahahhahahahaha lier

  • I don't know why people insist that Liberace was gay?

  • Wow! What a mega queen lol

  • The fur is out cold!!!

  • "Virgin fox -- takes one to know one!" :-)

  • i met this great guy and have his autograph

  • 5:37 The original Michelin Man haha

  • I don't know Liberace that well, but right now I think he's really gay and I think it's friggin' cool :DD

  • So happy to find these Liberace videos. The original King of Bling!! He was a true master at his craft and rare showman. We simply don't have entertainers with anywhere near this level of skill anymore. Like this type of entertainment or not, it's just not around anymore, that generation is gone. Liberace, Sammy Davis Jr., people like that who the entertainers went to see when they wanted to be entertained.

  • If he was straight there is no way in hell he would have been as entertaining as he was. I mean let`s face it; All the guy did was play the piano, something billions of people can do just as well.

  • this is the real king of bling

  • Im loving that coat!

  • Next week on Mtv Cribs.....

  • @Newtwist75 they should do a post humansously Mtv Cribs! LOL

  • Class, Class, Class! We don't see that on stage today.

  • i used to watch this every satuday mornig as a kid growing up in las vagas.they showed his tv show and this was the opening for that tv show

  • This guy really knew how to spend money and put people to work.

  • Nothing wrong with him being gay but he did sue the MIrror Newspaper in England for implying he was.

  • I'd like to see Puffy Dad or P Mini or Diddy Puff whatever they're called try to do that.

  • Simply Fabulous. I can't think of anything better to describe him and his cadence and his home. It's breathtaking. :)

  • baby, thats an opening!

  • soooo gay...

  • My father in law swears that he saw Liberache beat the fuck out of a New Orleans police officer! He may have loved dicks but he could beat people up too!

  • he was the first real king of BLING he makes all these rappers look like a bunch of nobodies, forget p diddy and lil wayne , jlo has nothing on him

  • @fixitluis He was "bling" before it was the thing!
