Great video! My garage door torsion spring broke this morning as my wife was trying to leave for work. I was shocked to see the average cost to have this fixed by a professional is around $240. After watching your video I ran to Menards and for $40 I fixed it myself. Door works perfectly now!
pretty good... but you want to use a 7/16s socket (12 tooth) NOT A CRESENT WRENCH and you NEVER hold the winding bars in front of your face.. you put your ladder to the side and wide them sideways... there is several techniques to do this... you picked the slowest and most dangerous way to show it...
Excellent job explaining what you are doing vs the typical doing it behind the scenes, then showing us what they already did. Great job and definitely helped me with balancing my door and your vid will be an excellent source in case I have to replace wheels or springs. Thanks and keep the vids coming!
dont make the marks on the tube for the drums, u wanna slide the tube over an inch or so so all set screws have a fresh grab, putting the set screws in the same notches will cause slippage under tension
how do you know which one goes on the correct side?

I wouldnt recommended unwinding the spring with the bars right in front of your face

@hexbugger I agree try and keep the bar off to the side, more by your shoulder.
