Why is there always squabbling about The Supremes. Yes Diana was more driven and determined to be a star than Mary and Flo. During those years, Mary just accepted being a backup singer, but it seems in later years she started resenting the fact they she never achieved the level of fame and notoriety that Diana did. And Flo was resentful from the beginning that she was only a backup singer, and amongst other things, it took its toll on her, which led to her spiraling downward.

I was a child during the 60's and white America did not open their doors to Black entertainers like they did for the whites. Some part of the country white people were kinf but for the most they were not. Black entertainer could not eat at some of the places where they performed.
