  • Nikko has a special place in my heart. If you happen to visit Nikko, please visit the Forest Inn Teddy Bear House. It's a warm pleasant home like atmosphere owned by a very hospitable and friendly old man, Mr. Kobayashi.

  • @kentaokabe Yes its a beautiful place & we will go back one day : )

  • Great vid ! Thanks for the memories Mick...

  • @fuzzypaws17 Thanks mate : )

  • Great video with outstanding music selection! Who would have guessed that such a disparate match could be successfully made! Please tell Fumi how much we like seeing her in your videos. You two are a great pair! There were so many great scenes in this video though my fav was probably the simple view out the front window of the train. Though the photo sequence at the end with the kanpai shot was splendid! Have a great weekend, friends! ~Kurt :-)

  • @softypapa Very happy you enjoyed it mate. Its one of my favourite vids. We have some nice photo's, I'm planning to make a video with them with some narration. Wishing you & your family a great weekend too...kanpai : )

  • @MicknFumi I like the music!!!!!!

  • @ClaudiaNihon Thanks heaps Claudia, you always make great comments & yes that onsen was very special : )

  • @MarcusStead that was the best onsen we've ever had...yes it was a private onsen for partners & we've had quite a few private onsens. But that one was very old, looks small, but is very deep & has a beautiful view of the river. It also has a very strong chemical feeling, that feels very relaxing & stays with you after your skin has dried. It was very special & I want to go back one day : )

  • @MarcusStead Thanks for watching guys : )

  • Great video, I love the waterfall, and the shots of the running water. I also liked the hotel you stayed at it looked very old fashion. Looked like a great trip.

    Thumbs up

  • @Nemesis093781 Thanks mate, yes awesome place & the hotel had a lot of history. It dates back to the time of the samurai. That was one of the places the Shoguns head samurai & officials families were kept to keep them loyal to the Shogun.

  • Wow!

I'll have to put Nikko on my visiting-wish list.

That looks like fun^^ Between 5:46-5:50 it looked like the tree was eating fumi. haha xD

I noticed that you also ate some food there, what exactley did you eat?

It looks yummy, I'd like to cook whatever you ate, so I can eat it too : P

  • @finkledo Nikko is awesome, you should definately visit! The meal in Nikko took me a couple of days to recover, it was huge. A 10 course meal & I was full after about the 5th lol. But they kept bringing out more that looked too good not to eat. I took picyures of each course & I should make a video out of them some time. The highlight was a double fried fish cought from the lake which you could eat the whole fish, bones, tail & head included. I thought Fumi was joking, but it was very nice : )

  • Wow! Exciting trip and what a view. Thanks

  • @mellowsky47 It was an awesome trip, one of the best I've ever had...cheers mate : )

  • Nice video, hope to see many more.

    Thumbs up!

  • @Cebrail1991 Thanks mate, definately more vids to come, cheers : )

  • Wow, big waterfalls! Beautiful.

  • @Tirabaralla The waterfalls were amazing...thanks for watching : )

  • Thank you guys for this video. Brought back some good memories from when I was in Nikko, I love that place, so beautiful.

The bus ride up the mountain was crazy, he had to drive fast to keep the bus running so the bus was leaning heavily in the corners and the view on the cliff side was scary ha ha. I got lucky and saw a Shinto wedding at one of the temples, the clothing they are wearing are so beautiful.

Hey, did you pray to the candy god, the little statue with a branch in his hand :)

  • @MageThief It is a beautiful place & yeah that busride is crazy lol...Shinto weddings are great, my sisters wedding was Shinto...I don't know if we prayed at the candy god shrine lol...but I'll make sure I do next time I'm there...cheers mate : )

  • wonderful place/view sir.. and of course the background music is cool as always.. thnaks for the tour/ride. :) and where have you been?

  • @trebornoican Thanks mate, very happy you enjoyed it : )

I have been very busy lately. Up until last week I was working hard on assignments, I had to work on weekends too. Now Fumi & I have just come back from a trip down South, having a break. Should be posting a video of it soon...cheers mate : )

  • Is the waterfall "華厳の滝[Kegon no taki]"?(^0^)?

I used to live in Tochigi, so I have visited around Nikko sometimes.

    Did you eat 湯葉[yuba] ? ^0^

Fumi san looked like a little girl under the tree, cute! ^^

  • @JustMiyabi Yes Kegon, one of the 7 goddess waterfalls of Japan. I have seen 2 goddess waterfalls of Japan, I want to see 7 : )

Ah yes Tochigi is very close to Nikko, there must be lots of nice places around there?!

No I have never tried yuba & Fumi says she does not like it. When we Stayed on Lake Chuzenji, we had a double fried fish caught from the lake. You could eat the whole fish including the head & the tail. Fumi said I can eat the head & I thought she was joking. But it was oishii : )

  • Awesome video! Perfect song choice! Man, I just might have to take a lil side trip when Im there. I guess its just a 2hr train ride from Tokyo? ... Yep Im resurching it now. Thanks for this video now I have something else to do whilst in the area!!!

    SCORE!!!

  • @edtomorrow Thanks mate, yeah you should definately check it out, its awesome. It takes about 1hr to get off the train at Nikko & then if your staying up on the lake, it probably takes another 1/2 hour to get up there on the bus. Just don't go up say Dec-Feb, this was in September...cheers mate : )

  • @MicknFumi Oh Im totaly going to check out Nikko... My J-waitress said that it was awesome!!! Your video did not disappoint. I cant wait!!!! What are the goddess waterfalls?

  • @edtomorrow Cool man yeah they rock...there are 7 goddess waterfalls in Japan, basically the coolest looking waerfalls in Japan. But each have a story or mythological story behind them : )

  • @MicknFumi Cool, perhaps next year That will be a mission to seek out all 7 and visit them. That would be a good excuse to travel all over the country.

  • @edtomorrow 1/2 of me wants to take that as a challenge & suggest some kind of amazing race...& the other 1/2 of me reminds me that would be bloody stupid, as we'd overlook a lot of what makes each place special lol...mate, that would be an awesome adventure, have you researched where they all are yet?

  • @edtomorrow 1/2 of me wants to take that as a challenge & suggest some kind of amazing race...& the other 1/2 of me reminds me that would be bloody stupid, as we'd overlook a lot of what makes each place special lol...mate, that would be an awesome adventure, have you researched where they all are yet?

  • and sorry for my ignorance but you're not still in Japan are you? You were only over visiting for a wedding right?

  • @monkeystu52 Yep thats right mate. We live in Australia & holiday in Japan to catch up with friends & relatives : )

  • Wow..... hoope you're not scared of heights! what beautiful views. I love Japan!!

  • @monkeystu52 hahaha I'm fine with heights as long as I'm not in some precarious position, which wasn't a prob here. It was all very cruisy. We actually bought some Nikko beers back in town & drank a few on top of the mountain where the cable car was...it was awesome, yep gotta love Japan : )

  • Beautiful video, mate. Nikko is a beautiful place. I was thinking about popping up to Nikko in December but decided it is better for Spring and Autumn, so will visit Kusatsu instead for the onsen...I love Onsen.

I waiting for your call during the weekend but when I checked my Skype on my phone, it seems I was not logged in. I must have logged out by mistake after talking to JustMiyabi. Sorry mate, if you tried.

  • @Theytoldmetodoit1 Yes I did open skype to see if you were online. I'll try again this weekend mate...Nikko has hot springs as well, actually one of the best I've ever visited was the one in this video. It had a very strong chemical feel that was very relaxing, even after your skin was dry. But your right, winters not the best time to visit. I hope you take some video of Kusato, I havn't been there. Just googled & it looks beautiful!

  • cool ive been nikko so many place to see and enjoy,,,

  • @oiomusicproductions There is so much to see up there, I loved Nikko. We will go back one day : )

  • So that's what it looks like when you're not sitting on a bus in the middle of a blizzard.

another great vid, thanks for the up.

  • @burpwind Sounds like you were there in winter. That road must have been scary if there was snow on the road! Thanks for watching mate : )

  • right after 2 days of Tokyo we did Nikko, too!!! Just an amazing place!!! And we were lucky, the place wasn't to overrun, 'cause it was raining very had! But through that, all the temples became a mystique glimmer! ;) Thereafter we did a trip farther north to Sendai!!!

  • @chrismecking Nikko is awesome isn't it! Tokyo was a vert hot & humid 34c when we left. But Nikko with its fresh air, low humidity, was perfect. Sounds like your trip was too. I havn't been to Sedai, what was that like mate? Did you decide to go skiing in Hokkaido?

  • For me music sounds like for zombie movie at beginning x]

    Awesome glowing Spider :DDD

What did you wish for? (at the temple)

And yea that new model train looks like airplain xD

K now Micki with kimono? LoL xD Don't know what to say about it :DDD

Well great vid mate cya next time :)

  • @Basurci That must be why I love the start of that song, I love zombie movies lol...I wished for the same thing I always wish for, a generic all encompassing wish for everything to be all good...lol its a yukata, not a kimono, you wear them too the onsen & when your hanging around your room. We had beers on the balcony, then onsen, then beers, then dinner, then another onseny. All in our Yukata's lol...cheers mate : )

  • @MicknFumi K onw i will know that's a Yukata ;)

  • @Basurci hahaha similar but not the same as a kimono, possibly in name only...no they are different ; )

  • Great tunes thank you.

  • @cmb17 Couple of my favourite songs. I knew I was going to get a copyright infringement by uploading this video again. I audio swapped the sound on the lower quality version of this video. But I love the build up with Deus at the start there & had to reupload the original & we have have faster internet now. So I could upload the 10 times larger file : D...Funny thing is, I got a copyright infringement only for the White Stripes this time, last time it was just Deus.

  • I never would have guessed that was close to Tokyo! The scenery was beautiful especially the waterfalls. A good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and commune with nature!

  • @cloudstrifeification So true mate! The waterfall that we took the escalator down to see is one of the 7 goddess waterfalls of Japan. Nunobiki falls in Kobe that we uploaded a while back is another one of the goddess waterfalls. I really want to see the other 5 now : )

  • Comment removed

  • Eeeeek! Creepy spider at 2:54 !! But...everything looks so green and beautiful!! The waterfalls are amazing! You guys are so lucky to be able to see such beautiful things!

edited :had wrong time of when I saw the creepy creepy spider

  • @finalfantasy4everock haha the spider was only a small common house spider, but yeah I didn't like it building a web across our balcony...I feel very lucky to have visited here & other places. This was one of the highlights of places I've seen in my life : )

  • That spider at 2:30 was clumsy!

  • @Dragon22873 lol it didn't like me blowing on it & I didn't like it building a web across our balcony : D

  • I have been to this place, it is MUST SEE when people visit Tokyo. This place is dedicated to Shogun Tokugawa Ieyas ,it is a UNESCO World Heritage site ,also Birth place of Three Wise Monkrys who hear ,speak and see no evil. Over looking Chusen Lake was breathtaking !

  • @109mytiger Good stuff man, it is awesome isn't it. I'd like to go back one day, its one of my favourite places. So beautiful : )

  • Oh my gosh that place is beautiful. I think id like to go there on a break. Where about is this

  • @JackOSpades91 I highly recommend it, like with Kamakura & Hakone, its only one hour from Tokyo. Yet an amazing contrast, hard to accept that your only one hour from one of the biggest cities in the world. You take an old train (no shinkansen) to the end of the line at Nikko, then jump on a bus going up the mountain to Lake Chuzenji. The cablecar, waterfalls & temple shrines are all between the lake & Nikko train station : )

  • @MicknFumi Thanks. That's amazing that its only an hour out of Tokyo, its almost like another world

  • I like the view

  • @FromAngus Its pretty nice, loved it up there...thanks for watching : )
