I said he didn't create assists out of nowhere, and that video just confirms my thought. Have you seen Messi's assists? I guess not, because you seem like another Messi hater.

@panetero La liga now is an embarrassment to competitive sport. C Ronaldo has scored more goals than he's played games this season in that league. Messi's passing is overrated. He only has two style's of passing which are low throwballs (or crosses) or a chip over the top. He can't distrute the ball anywhere, like Ronaldinho could or infact any real playmaker could. He cant control or set the tempo of a game either like a real playmaker could. Most of his assists are simple and average at best

@panetero Messi's assists this season against Espanyol, Deportivo and so on have been average. There just him pasing the ball into space through the defense. They require no skill. He can do some good angled passes at times, but they are rare at best, and make up a very, very small percentage of his assists.
In the Real Madrid match this season his second assist was the best pass I've seen him make. The first was a another basic pass through the back four, and it was also offside.

You can only compare Messi to Ronaldo with numbers but not style. But to say Ronaldo was a striker is not just the reason. Ronaldo's goal runs were from half way line, either by him self or with a link up (one:two)
But you can say Messi is a midget (small) so his achievments are more amazing that way.

Messi this year IS Barca's striker, he is constantly the man furthest upfront and Ibra barely did anything or even played for that matter. Being small in football means shit, look at Maradona and Romario. They are better players than Messi and they were even shorter.
