I wish the cops were like that here in the U.S.!..........no.....I'm just kidding. It would be awesome if they had the show Cops in Taiwan. If they did, I'm sure they would try to do their job because they are being filmed and showed to the public. What is the crime rate like in Taiwan?
Taiwanese cops are unrealiable and corrupt depending on where you live in Taiwan. Taipei has the best standard in terms of police, hospital, transportation, services, and etc so maybe you should live there.
Couldnt agree more mate. There are so many asshole cops out there. I used to be so nieve as to think most were nice honest people who want to help, but I found out to my disgust that this is not the case.
i find it funny that the police watch your channel so closely so they can catch you breaking laws, and they won't do anything about an obvious traffic violation
It pays to run in the States too. I got rearended on my motorcycle at an intersection and the bitch just inched her way around my downed bike then took off fullspeed while dragging a witness. The witness fell, narrowly missing being run over. I remembered her plates too. Had the cops went to her house right away, she would have got a dui for sure and I would have got my stuff covered. It took the cops and lawyers over a year to figure it all out. I'd rather of just tire ironed her car.
my mom hit a motorbike with a car and the person fell, we waited a few minutes and the cops came, they talked a little and let my mom go, they said it wasn't her fault because the motorbike driver is an old lady and was driving too close to the car lane. so it ended up like we hit someone and got away with it.....the cops are so nice in taiwan haha
are the police in taiwan more lenient than one in the u.s.? because in your vids, i've noticed that the bikers, and scooter riders can pass outside or inside on double lines, and such. lol
Here in Finland traffic officials are very strict. It's also isn't just the police it's the drivers themselves who tend to be careful and rule-obedient.
I don't know how it works in Taiwan but in Finland it's quite illegal to drive without insurance and if done, will result in one losing one's licence for a long time and possibly having to serve some time in jail.
@Kaarle15 finland is a good country though, the laws are strict, crime is low, fuck my country, Britain, the cops are pussies, they can't do shit to stop teenagers doing anything, the cops don't carry weapons all they have is maise and whip out batons, plus the punishments in britain are shit, you can seriously do like 3 years for murder

Telling me not to rag on them is about as smart as saying don't rag on rapists because there is probably a few of them that were forced into the life or some shit. @13mordeth Yeah I am taiwanese but I do agree a bad example of the bad policeman is the Policeman hitting civilians in a strike like a year ago that was terrible I bet the government was behind all that which was also backed by China. Fucking chinese
taiwanese police are also pretty poorly paid from what I understand (at least the uniformed rank and file in comparison to the "suits" who work specialized crime), so yeah, I happen to agree with mordeth that 1) police forces throughout the world are dominated by thugs with guns and riot sticks. and 2) with taiwan, there is a problem with corruption and it's attendant practices. when cops are poorly paid, it makes it harder for them to resist the temptation to be corrupt.
you should go to Taiwan and try it. then let us know how it turns out. Make sure you pick a guy with elaborate tattoos, that usually means they belong to a group of peaceniks who won't fight back or call the police.

I have no idea who this bike rider was, but his comment was rather unfair and conclusion untrue. He concluded the whole island/country image based on his single experience? Does he realize how many hit-and-runs in Chicago, in L.A., in New York every day? Can we conclude the whole United State is just like that? Piece of trash!
By watching how many videos he has, I'm sure he has just a "little" experience with the Taiwanese police (note the sarcasm). You can't compare these two very different cultures.
Your comparing two completeley different nations, cultures, laws. One this guy from canada and moved to Taiwan, he didn't conclude anything about the U.S.A. Second, your being equally ignorant because unless you have been to Taiwan, what grounds do you have to defend them? Third, this is his personal opinion, hes offering it to people who want to watch his videos. You don't have to listen to him. Finally, did you notice the sarcasm in his voice?
And the fact you said you have no idea who he is, means you don't know what he hasn't seen from the Taiwaneese police. You don't know if this was the only time he encountered something like this. So stop trying to blindly defend a culture and antagonize someone who you've never bothered to look at what hes seen before.
@13mordeth actually, I have been living in Taiwan for two years now. Taiwanese cops are very kind but they are too soft in their hearts. They are never aggressive. Btw, I love ur vids. Keep on going bro.
I spent about 40% of my life in Taiwan and 60% in Canada. I agree with M13. My experience with TW cops is that they are not very professional compared to the Canadian version. However, I think it has to do with their training. TW police force should seriously considering an exchange program with other countries.
However, I will say the services from the private sectors in TW are 10X better than in Canada even in a MacDonald. The service people in TW rock!
You said when he stalled you pulled up beside him and punched his window a few times trying to break the glass. just wondering what you was going to do lol
I never thought of that, they might have got you for criminal damage and theft xD If the driver was Taiwanese the cops may have been more supportive of him? or is it not like that?
well, honestly I dunno what the argument below is all about. i mean cops are cops.. doesn't matter where they're from. There's always gonna be a few good ones, and a lotta rotten ones. It's just how things are. They can be lazy, snobbish, haughty and what now.. it's the same in most if not all the countries
Correct you are, sir. I did a chapter on that in university. The gist of it was that in general....the people who become police..are those least suited to do so.
By the way, how can you say something is true just because YOU SAY SO? Are you really THAT STUPID? No wonder you had shitty jobs before. Keep entertain me. LOL.
See now you know you've already lost the argument and you've started to behave ignorantly by insulting me. I'm not saying it's true because I SAY SO, I'm saying it's true because everyone who understands this situation says it's true....including the police I know.
I know more about this country than the vast majority of locals that I meet. And YES, if the country were a country like China for example....then I would totally take the word of a foreigner over the word of a local with regards to how China is. That should be common sense. You still have made no sense.
You love subjectivism (a fallacy), don't you? And you DARE to attack me by using one of the most obvious fallacies? I must say you are officially unreasonable, although not a surprise.
What fallacies (wrong beliefs)? You're saying I'm basing all my opinions on Taiwanese Police on the police in my city. When in fact you are wrong. So you tell me what you want me to respond to and I'll respond to it.
13mordeth lives in 中壢 (a city in Taiwan), and he's basically making comments on TAIWAN based on his personal experience in ONE city. An obvious fallacy.
Also, 13mordeth did NOT grow up in Taiwan, so his comments on Taiwan's matters are not reliable, even despite his many fallacies...
Windwalker, how many times have you traveled around Taiwan? I've been to almost every city in Taiwan more than 10 times. Every city. So I know how the police are all over this country.
I wasn't born here....so that means I don't understand things? What kind of stupid comment is that? I've lived here my whole adult life.
"I've been to almost every city in Taiwan more than 10 times. Every city." is your claim, 13mordeth--we don't know whether that's true or not. And we're talking about YOUR propositions, so how many times I have traveled around Taiwan is not important.
yes but he has friends unlike you and they have filled him in the economy status, although i wouldn't be hard to pick up a local new paper and find out, 'so his comments on Taiwan's matters are reliable' !!!
Just because that happens in 中壢 doesn't mean it's the same in every other places in Taiwan. Try to do a hit-and-run in 台北(Taipei); good luck for that, lol.
You're implying that there's only ONE city in Taiwan where the police sometimes do their job, which is obviously false, and that's not my proposition. So you're just using a typical straw man argument here. Please don't think people can't notice such obvious fallacy.
my parents immigrated to canada cuz land is cheap here. Didnt you know? Canada is a great place to retire and bring up kids. Not only that but also a heaven for drug addicts. Vancouver BC has injection sites which provide free needles to the bums in downtown.
It dont matter where you live fucked up shit and corruption is everywhere just gotta learn to live with it, but if all the taiwanese are moving to canada and you moved from canada to tiawan seems you made a mistake why didnt ya just move south of the border to the states you wouldnt have had to learn a new language and teaching is a great job here, your not gonna be rich but you will live comfortably.
So your saying that Canada has a better police system than Taiwan. Just because one police does something your not used to your country dosent mean you judge the entire country as a whole. Ive seen some retarded Canadian police too.
If you've been to both Canada and Taiwan.....it's more than obvious that Canadian police are "real" police. And Taiwanese police....pffft....I don't know what they are.
Ive been to both and im living in Canada, there are different methods of dealing with stuff in different countries. I've seen Candian police bruilty towards there suspects, thats worse than hit and run.
In Taiwan....you can kill someone.....go by the police station...give them some money...and they won't "find" you. You can't compare that to Canadian or American police. That's more like Mexico's police.
You have no support for your proposition at all, so I assume you're just judging purely based on personal experience, which doesn't include a whole country in your case.
Actually, I live in Vancouver canada, and I find that Canadian police seriously needs some improvement. People relate canadian police to mall security with Tazers.
if you had friends in public service administrations "(Taiwan secret police, government, police, mafia)" lol mafia; you would know that Taiwan is not a third world country.
In Taiwan a blue truck driver can kill someone with his truck.....then go to the nearest police station and give them some money to lose the intersection video tapes of the incident. I've seen it happen. Also can you name a first world country where people ride bikes in a typhoon with their headlights off? Well....that doesn't really make it 3rd world.....but it sure as hell makes it stupid.
How bout Japan? which is also a first world country and encounters Typhoons on a regular basis and which some of the population do ride mopeds...without turning on their headlights! :o
wow how the hell did u know those ppl? u gotta tell me those stories, hell , or even make a vid about it b/c it just sounds unreally cool, like u r a real agent or something. i think stories aobut secret police and mafia is something ppl will be interested. btw by mafia in Taiwan do u mean triad or what?
That's debatable. I saw a man hit and kill an old man with his car. Then give the police some money to let him go. That doesn't happen in first world countries. So Taiwan isn't that either.
the EXACT same thing happened to me in New Zealand!!! We got the plate and vehicle details of the drunk driver who smashed into my car and drove off and the police did nothing - just sent me a letter three weeks later saying that they didn't have the resources to deal with it AND since i wasn't hurt.......go figure!!
I wish the cops were like that here in the U.S.!..........no.....I'm just kidding. It would be awesome if they had the show Cops in Taiwan. If they did, I'm sure they would try to do their job because they are being filmed and showed to the public. What is the crime rate like in Taiwan?

I spent about 40% of my life in Taiwan and 60% in Canada. I agree with M13. My experience with TW cops is that they are not very professional compared to the Canadian version. However, I think it has to do with their training. TW police force should seriously considering an exchange program with other countries.
However, I will say the services from the private sectors in TW are 10X better than in Canada even in a MacDonald. The service people in TW rock!

Other than riding fast I don't purposely endanger others (running reds without looking, cutting people off, changing lanes without signaling...etc)

What was you going to do if you broke his window?
TeamXtrm 3 years ago
Huh? Whose window?
13mordeth 3 years ago
You said when he stalled you pulled up beside him and punched his window a few times trying to break the glass. just wondering what you was going to do lol
TeamXtrm 3 years ago
Ahh yes, that story...if I'd broken the window I'd have grabbed his keys so he couldn't drive anymore and the cops could bust him for driving drunk.
13mordeth 3 years ago
I never thought of that, they might have got you for criminal damage and theft xD If the driver was Taiwanese the cops may have been more supportive of him? or is it not like that?
TeamXtrm 3 years ago
It's not like that. Generally Asians treat Westerners better than their own. For better or worse.

well, honestly I dunno what the argument below is all about. i mean cops are cops.. doesn't matter where they're from. There's always gonna be a few good ones, and a lotta rotten ones. It's just how things are. They can be lazy, snobbish, haughty and what now.. it's the same in most if not all the countries
shazameen 3 years ago 2
Correct you are, sir. I did a chapter on that in university. The gist of it was that in general....the people who become police..are those least suited to do so.
13mordeth 3 years ago
By the way, how can you say something is true just because YOU SAY SO? Are you really THAT STUPID? No wonder you had shitty jobs before. Keep entertain me. LOL.
windwalker000 3 years ago
See now you know you've already lost the argument and you've started to behave ignorantly by insulting me. I'm not saying it's true because I SAY SO, I'm saying it's true because everyone who understands this situation says it's true....including the police I know.
13mordeth 3 years ago
I know more about this country than the vast majority of locals that I meet. And YES, if the country were a country like China for example....then I would totally take the word of a foreigner over the word of a local with regards to how China is. That should be common sense. You still have made no sense.
13mordeth 3 years ago
You love subjectivism (a fallacy), don't you? And you DARE to attack me by using one of the most obvious fallacies? I must say you are officially unreasonable, although not a surprise.
windwalker000 3 years ago
Again you just throw out some big words and make no actual point whatsoever.
13mordeth 3 years ago
Why don't you respond to your fallacies first instead of saying my comment is stupid, 13mordeth?
windwalker000 3 years ago
What fallacies (wrong beliefs)? You're saying I'm basing all my opinions on Taiwanese Police on the police in my city. When in fact you are wrong. So you tell me what you want me to respond to and I'll respond to it.
13mordeth 3 years ago
13mordeth lives in 中壢 (a city in Taiwan), and he's basically making comments on TAIWAN based on his personal experience in ONE city. An obvious fallacy.
Also, 13mordeth did NOT grow up in Taiwan, so his comments on Taiwan's matters are not reliable, even despite his many fallacies...
windwalker000 3 years ago
Windwalker, how many times have you traveled around Taiwan? I've been to almost every city in Taiwan more than 10 times. Every city. So I know how the police are all over this country.
I wasn't born here....so that means I don't understand things? What kind of stupid comment is that? I've lived here my whole adult life.
13mordeth 3 years ago
"I've been to almost every city in Taiwan more than 10 times. Every city." is your claim, 13mordeth--we don't know whether that's true or not. And we're talking about YOUR propositions, so how many times I have traveled around Taiwan is not important.
windwalker000 3 years ago
If I say it's true....then it's true. I'm M13.

your bike sounds like shit man
crocodilu99 3 years ago
Just because that happens in 中壢 doesn't mean it's the same in every other places in Taiwan. Try to do a hit-and-run in 台北(Taipei); good luck for that, lol.
windwalker000 3 years ago
So Taiwan has ONE city where the police sometimes do their job? Wow....impressive.
13mordeth 3 years ago
You're implying that there's only ONE city in Taiwan where the police sometimes do their job, which is obviously false, and that's not my proposition. So you're just using a typical straw man argument here. Please don't think people can't notice such obvious fallacy.
windwalker000 3 years ago
omg even if the whole thing was made up lies,,
why the fk do you care
its not effecting your life
so why dont you take your straw man self and fuck off ~ off this channel as your wasting your time, viewing time and the bloggers time,,
and you prove nothing from bitching about how true m13's words are ,
your bitching don't make readers aware of something they didn't already know,, people take life day by day with a pinch of salt,
so stop trying to down talk people to make yourself feel better

taiwan is better then canada, did you know that taiwan is the third smartest country in the world when canada is 23
VincentCheng93 3 years ago
So why are so many Taiwanese trying to hard to move to retire in Canada. And last time I checked no one in Canada tries to retire to here?
13mordeth 3 years ago
my parents immigrated to canada cuz land is cheap here. Didnt you know? Canada is a great place to retire and bring up kids. Not only that but also a heaven for drug addicts. Vancouver BC has injection sites which provide free needles to the bums in downtown.

mmmm that sounds swell .... o.O
GuitarMasterGraeme 3 years ago
It dont matter where you live fucked up shit and corruption is everywhere just gotta learn to live with it, but if all the taiwanese are moving to canada and you moved from canada to tiawan seems you made a mistake why didnt ya just move south of the border to the states you wouldnt have had to learn a new language and teaching is a great job here, your not gonna be rich but you will live comfortably.
Dkells88 3 years ago
So your saying that Canada has a better police system than Taiwan. Just because one police does something your not used to your country dosent mean you judge the entire country as a whole. Ive seen some retarded Canadian police too.
VincentCheng93 3 years ago
If you've been to both Canada and Taiwan.....it's more than obvious that Canadian police are "real" police. And Taiwanese police....pffft....I don't know what they are.
13mordeth 3 years ago
Ive been to both and im living in Canada, there are different methods of dealing with stuff in different countries. I've seen Candian police bruilty towards there suspects, thats worse than hit and run.
VincentCheng93 3 years ago
In Taiwan....you can kill someone.....go by the police station...give them some money...and they won't "find" you. You can't compare that to Canadian or American police. That's more like Mexico's police.
13mordeth 3 years ago
if you have been in taiwan 10 years then you should understand this, Li Ki long biat! If not then you are full of crap!
pjonnie 3 years ago
You have no support for your proposition at all, so I assume you're just judging purely based on personal experience, which doesn't include a whole country in your case.
windwalker000 3 years ago
o do shut up you fag ..... no one cares what you have to say,, if m13 feels like making a video that bitches about some bent copper then so be it!!!
crash100 3 years ago
Actually, I live in Vancouver canada, and I find that Canadian police seriously needs some improvement. People relate canadian police to mall security with Tazers.

in taiwan, it helps to be taiwanese
foreigners dont know jack about how things work in taiwan
stphnkng 3 years ago
Yeah, I've only been here 10 years. Have friends of all types (Taiwan secret police, government, police, mafia). What could I know about Taiwan?
13mordeth 3 years ago
if you had friends in public service administrations "(Taiwan secret police, government, police, mafia)" lol mafia; you would know that Taiwan is not a third world country.
stphnkng 3 years ago
In Taiwan a blue truck driver can kill someone with his truck.....then go to the nearest police station and give them some money to lose the intersection video tapes of the incident. I've seen it happen. Also can you name a first world country where people ride bikes in a typhoon with their headlights off? Well....that doesn't really make it 3rd world.....but it sure as hell makes it stupid.
13mordeth 3 years ago
If you hate taiwan so much, why are you living there!
pjonnie 3 years ago
How bout Japan? which is also a first world country and encounters Typhoons on a regular basis and which some of the population do ride mopeds...without turning on their headlights! :o
stphnkng 3 years ago
Japan has some of the hardest working police in the world. And some of the lowest crime rates to prove it.
13mordeth 3 years ago
Thats true, you should move to Japan then.
stphnkng 3 years ago
wow how the hell did u know those ppl? u gotta tell me those stories, hell , or even make a vid about it b/c it just sounds unreally cool, like u r a real agent or something. i think stories aobut secret police and mafia is something ppl will be interested. btw by mafia in Taiwan do u mean triad or what?
sfyg555 3 years ago
Taiwan is not a third world country.
Flybane 3 years ago
That's debatable. I saw a man hit and kill an old man with his car. Then give the police some money to let him go. That doesn't happen in first world countries. So Taiwan isn't that either.
13mordeth 3 years ago
sorry to say, but that does happen on first world countries...

sorry to say, but that doesn't happen. see all the famous people getting arrested these days.

the EXACT same thing happened to me in New Zealand!!! We got the plate and vehicle details of the drunk driver who smashed into my car and drove off and the police did nothing - just sent me a letter three weeks later saying that they didn't have the resources to deal with it AND since i wasn't hurt.......go figure!!
