Also works on Bowser, Samus, Luigi and Mario. But against these last three you must pummel or after the fifth throw it's no longer an infinite. This is the reason DDD rapes DK. All competitive DK mains want it banned to not need any secondaries. Without it DK has no raped matchups.

Dedede has 2 types of chain grabs with dthrow. One, which only don't work on characters ligher than Marth (Marth can't escape with up b unlike many others chain grabs) , is running and grab. The other, infinite, works on Mario, Samus, Luigi, Bowser and Donkey Kong. Luigi is the only character who can be infinited but not running chain grab.

I remember a cheap ass player online did this to me , on my DK, I got so pissed trying to get out, he did it up to 300% then he suddenly messed up for wtv reason then I took that chance and grabbed him and stage spiked him at 40% XD then AFTER he had the balls to call ME CHEAP! lol I just laughed at his face then he left the game

you're not doing it correctly. The move is stale. If you want to be able to do it forever. you have to press A once when in the grab so that the grab doesnt become stale. maybe i'm wrong and this is only for luigi and mario...but i'm pretty sure if you TRULY want the infinite on DK you have to grab, press A, down throw grab, press A, etc. There's a REALLY good tutorial of this chain grab on youtube...just search for it.

There is something to do against chain grabs, its just most people fall for it way too easily.

Personally once you get to like 50%, you fly futher away and have a split second to do something; button mashing usually helps with this.

Or, just avoid it by doing aerials and stuff, with dk vs dedede, there is multiple ways to avoid chain grabs from dedede

Good trick. Chain grabs are hard and sometimes impossible to escape. Sadly, it's considered a cheap thing to do. Perhaps a certain amount of how much you can use an attack (all charecters, so Pit players don't just run around spamming arrows on anyone they can out run, or anything you can imagine) But very good trick!

DDD can chain grab Samus, I've tried it. ^^ Pikachu has a chain throw as well, only works with few damage though at the end of 30% I guess... -.-' Just keep doing the throw-down for Pikachu and grab again, same for DDD for this video.

He also has a chain grab that works on smaller characters. You throw your enemy down then do a dash grab forwards.

you still have a chance to escape it at lower percentages, but once you get more than like 100-120, the hitstun lasts long enough for it to be an infinite combo i think

nah, u get thrown faster/farther, most chain grabs work only in the first 50%, DDD works all the time (probably stops around 150% but w/e)

On smaller characters, typrically those that stand after your down throw, you just tap the stick twice and grab to grab them before they can do anything. So far I know you can do this to lucario, sonic and snake. This is really great to use on sonic users.
