Vets already have enough. they have free housing for themselves and oftentimes in addition to their families.Free medical, dental, and vision, all after receiving a paycheck. If i had to pay for everything I would have been well below the poverty line, I often times had to pay for my own equipment and food. First of all no need to thank me, your tax dollars paid my salary, and bought me my first rate equipment. Second of all I dont watch Fox News. I usually just watch local news, in this case CBS. It never turned into a big stink because immediately following he announced "officially" health care reform. It was right when he got in office. Vets already have enough. they have free housing for themselves and oftentimes in addition to their families.Free medical, dental, and vision, all after receiving a paycheck. If i had to pay for everything I would have been well below the poverty line, I often times had to pay for my own equipment and food. Being in the Army was the hardest job I had ever had and I grew up working on a farm and worked construction during high school. I didnt know my candy ass was crying for anything more.

I did not sit back and ask the government to keep taking of me, since I knew that I would never retire there. I guess that I have benefits that I am able to claim, but I believe in paying my own way. The same rationale was used in Vietnam. It didn't work. That good local army never came. That's because it's their country that was invaded....and they won't have greater loyalty to the invaders...ever. They will smi9le and agree while it's easier to do so, but they won't often choose an American interest over their own people.

That would greatly increace the Gov. size. the Healthcare, it would raise the taxes. Something that you failed to comment on. And with gov. run healthcare then the Gov. could tell what to eat, when to exersize etc. That would be all but total control. And that would be a main issue not to support him for me. Mcain is horrible as well. And I hope for a good grass roots Independant to rise from the background for me to vote for. Maybe Paul should change to independant and he would get my vote.

That is my Assesment based on the issues important to me. Like he wants to defund the war, causing another Nam., or get rid of the tax cuts, or Nationwide Healthcare, or his views on my 2nd amendment rights, or 130present votes in the senate, insstead of a yes or no answer etc. He wants to move us to a social government giving them more control and less control to the people. And I will vote for who I belive is the best for the job. And again if its only the 2 McCain get mine, regretfully.

I Know what active duty is but you also stated the many vets are in support of Obama as well. I only spoke of vets because i myself have only spoken to vets, and am only speeking on behalf of those I have spoke to. I know that benifits for vets is important but Free nationwide healthcare is insane. One Issue is not enough to sell me. And if I had to vote on one issue it would be taxes. Not a good issue for Obama.

All that I have spoke to though are vietnam vets. and fear another poor plan like was use in that case. By defunding the war and putting peoples lifes on the line. My uncle was one of only 18 people in the Marine recon division. The first in the Last out. So I respect his oppinion much more than any one on the computer that I don't even know. But my own research leads me to the same conclusion. Obama is Bad. And there is no way around that.

Yeah and none of the Candidates are worth a damn. but Obama and Clinton want to lead us closer to this social rule with Government Healthcare, worlds court order, etc. If that ain't Government control I don't know what is. And Obama Gun views are no good.
Respect 2nd Amendment, but local gun bans ok. Provide some common-sense enforcement on gun licensing. cosponsored bill to limit purchases to 1 gun per month. Concealed carry OK for retired police officers.
These arent ok for me.

And the Government will soon see a rise in Militias if they try to take the guns. thats something they dont want. because it was also writen for the reason of protecting ourselves from the Government. Every man, woman, and child has the right and it shouldn't be hindered in any way. If anyone passes the training course they should be able to conceal.

And I will tell you what Not one person/VET that I met there, liked Obama, much less support a rally by him. Can I ask in all honesty without offending anyone out there, what happened with Ron Paul? He was about change especially in a more specific way than obama or hillary. It seems now that everyone is loving the message he spreads (obama). However Ron Pauls message is stronger but yet the media is not covering him like they should. One said Hitler was performing an act of God, and McCain embraced him! This did not get 1/4 of the coverage of Rev. Wright. I don't understand it either.

Whether you're for or against Obama, this is just a campaign add. It's easy to pick out vets at your own rally and say "the vets are for me!" just like it's easy to put people of certain gender, age, and race so they're behind you while the camera films your speech. This "vets in politics" topic has no meaning if it's just clips edited by the campaigns.
