It took five videos for me to figure out which one was the Christian, because Jesus was never mentioned. Lot's of dead cats in boxes, five dollar bills, etc, but not Jesus.

How do you go from the transcendental argument to scripture and the standard of Christ? There is a lot of argument in between the deistic God and the Trinitarian God of the Christian scriptures. The atheist spent way to long with unnecessary push back to the laws of logic.

@TheGamanic God does not 'like' to see people go to hell. 2 Peter says 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." We choose where we are going for eternity. We have sinned against God so He could send us to Hell. But He loves us so he gave a way out through Jesus.

The Atheist (Mike) went from being angry and foul mouthed to listening intently as Chad went through the Gospel message. I can only speculate that it was the "Law of God" that stopped his mouth. - "that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God." (Romans 3:19).
As for the apologetics. They were superbly used by Chad. Mike may be an intelligent person, but his educational accomplishments failed to support him in this debate. Great job Chad.

Tears were streaming down my face when you were able to give Mike the Gospel message. I was really struggling with my attitude towards Mike up to that point. I have no idea, but when I come across sufficient evidence to support an explanation I'll be completely helpless but to believe it, either because it is clearly evident that it is true or it is the best model that explains. I've spoken to a number of atheists that claim they have absolute knowledge about origins, however, they also claim there isn't "absolute knowledge" when you actually engage them.
I would highly recommend using scientific theory to base your ideas, it gives explanations but never answers the question.

@TheGamanic God does not 'like' to see people go to hell. 2 Peter says 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." We choose where we are going for eternity. We have sinned against God so He could send us to Hell. But He loves us so he gave a way out through Jesus.

Again you have to prove that such a god exists, which is more or less futile. It is a matter of faith, and for a rational human being, believing something without any good evidence is illogical. "Jesus Christ existed, that is a historical fact"- he probably did, but that does not make him the son of god, just as many others have said they are descended from deities or were ones. Caesar said he was descended from the god of love, Venus? Believe him too?

When in fact, historians Flavius Josephus and Greek writer Lucian (just to name a few) have confirmed that Jesus was in fact crucified. And the Quran requires violence and Jihad (holy war). What you need to realize is that in order to determine that Jesus actually atoned in a saving way for an unbeliever is if he repents. Everyone for whom Jesus is their substitute will be born-again by the Spirit. Repentance in no way cause the new-birth, but rather the new-birth causes repentance.

At one point in time, living matter (cell and so on) must have been non-living matter. Similarily, a car can be reduced to metals and plastics. Via engineering, design and assembly lines these plastics and metals could be transformed into a drivable vehicle. The atheist position is that living matter transformed itself into living matter, without guidance, intelligence, engineering, foresight etc...The atheist position takes more blind faith than the position that God created it.

@podoau so...it is okay that you just call being nice to each other a "survival instinct" based on what? you are doing the same thing, that was my point. you do the same thing you accuse me of doing. And I didn't argue that the bible gave men morals, I argued that God wrote his law on our hearts, and that is why we find an underlying morality all over the earth.

Being nice to each is part of living in a society. If we werent nice to each other we would either have killed ourselves off, or we would be living in solitude.

Morals dont come from god. Morals come from what a society accepts. This is why cannabalistic tribes thought that eating peole was ok.. Because their society agrred with it. .

The Atheist (Mike) went from being angry and foul mouthed to listening intently as Chad went through the Gospel message. I can only speculate that it was the "Law of God" that stopped his mouth. - "that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God." (Romans 3:19).
As for the apologetics. They were superbly used by Chad. Mike may be an intelligent person, but his educational accomplishments failed to support him in this debate. Great job Chad.

The reason Mike got silent is because he was giving Chad a chance to speak.

@BrushArborBaptist There were several moments in the previous portion when Mike let Chad speak. Foul mouthed because he said the F- word once? Tell me which is worse pride or a foul mouth? Anyone can give the gospel message...show me someone who gives it with humility and compassion then I will see a greater reflection of Christ and less of them. 1Peter 3.15 'yet do it with gentleness and respect' You think telling someone, "I didn't ask for a commentary" exhibits this?

I sense the unbeliever has alot of pride and anger but the authority of Gods words arrested all folly and exposed the error in his position... The young minister did a great job shifting gears as the debate evolved and most importantly he brought it home.... I believe that Mike (the unbeliever) will open his heart someday to know Jesus!!!

I think it's notable that Atheists keep coming back to listen to apologetics... you'd think if they were really SURE of their beliefs that they would have better things to do.
BUT: The truth is WAY DEEP DOWN they want to believe in God, and to know Him, because that's what they were created for - though they vehemently deny it.

I finally had the chance to watch all 5 parts of this series. Praise God for the gift of the Holy Spirit Who dwells in you. Tears were streaming down my face when you were able to give Mike the Gospel message. I was really struggling with my attitude towards Mike up to that point. The Gospel made me once again realize that I also fall so short of the glory of God. I'm sorry for my prior feelings toward Mike. I repent & am praying for him. Very valuable!!!!! Thanks Chad!!!!

God designed Hell for the devil unfortunately all those who don't desire God and scream out in hatred at God are given their desire to be there also. Doesn't God desire all to be righteous yet we spit in the presents of His name? Perhaps you think you are righteous because you judge God when in fact all have fallen short of His glory. even me God gave man choice, we made that choice- to be wicked There is a alternative though and its only through Christ.

Never in any of my responses was I raising an issue of what I believe, neither did I ever tell you I was a Christian. This argument is "does a deity exist" and if He did "would he reveal himself to us in a way we would know him". Maybe you have some protest towards the Christian God, however, that isn't what is being asked of you. If you want to make a claim about 66 books containing the writings of many men over the course of 6000 years being used to control men, then I'd challenge you on that

as for your question. I do not know how matter came to exist. I have no idea, but when I come across sufficient evidence to support an explanation I'll be completely helpless but to believe it, either because it is clearly evident that it is true or it is the best model that explains. (which in fact could be replaced by a better working model (model = scientific theory).
also plz note, I'm comfortable with a "I don't know" as an answer. Whats your answer to your own Q?.

So to answer my question, you "don't know" how matter exists because it exists. So would you agree that you wouldn't then believe that "matter exists because it exists"?
I've spoken to a number of atheists that claim they have absolute knowledge about origins, however, they also claim there isn't "absolute knowledge" when you actually engage them.
I would highly recommend using scientific theory to base your ideas, it gives explanations but never answers the question.
