  • GO LIZA winning a Tony!

    BRAVA darling.

    xx

  • Liza should not be singing. She's lost her voice and it seems her teeth are to big for her mouth. She talks with a shhhhh sound.

  • BALLZ 2 YOU LIZA big fan for 2 minutes!

  • i dont get this style of music :(

  • @leparditas then do not watch it or do not listen to it. simple.

  • Très beau document...Merci.

  • Here's something that I,as a non-anglosaxon,specifically european & devotedly german, will never understand! How do artists,in "The States",put up with the fact that, whenever they build up a show, they have to perform it 7 days a week, one day after another?Looks odd to me, makes me "pity" them! "Over here",we (fortunately still) have a repertory theatre tradition! Plays & shows are performed alternately, not in a row, meant to stay exceptional, for the better & worst! Same thing e-v'ry-day??? OMG!!!

  • In reply to dannybex's comment:

After a serious case of viral encephalitis in 2000, doctors predicted she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair and would perhaps not even be able to speak again. She refused to accept this, with the help of vocal and dance lessons, which she takes daily, managed to recover.

Her talent at its peak was comparable to Judy's and Barbra's.

What she has now is still great and all the more remarkable when you think what she's been through.

    Long live LM!

  • @BadBadAngel3 I agree, she's certainly a trouper, but will agree to disagree that at her peak her talent was comparable to Garland's or Streisand's. I doubt even Minnelli herself would go that far. But...in her very early shows with her mother, her voice was SO much stronger than it was even in the 1970's...there are several clips on youtube that bear that out.

Unfortunately, besides serious illnesses, her life (and her voice) has been damaged by years of drug abuse...like Judy. Sad...

  • @dannybex --I would think Liza's smoking actually affected her voice more.

  • Much love Liza !!!!

  • The older she gets the more she looks like her mom

  • where can i buy the DVD? Love you LIZA!

  • SHE STILLS ROCKS!!!

After all she is back on top winning a Tony! She is a survivor, a living legend!

    LIZA QUEEN OF QUEENS!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't express how badly i would love to see Liza on stage she is one of the last great entertainers - she is so charismatic and fun - oh well i will have to make do with watching her on youtube

  • beings this show is so important to her, she would hate what Netflix has done with it! you can't rent the dvd it's only on instant play which would be great but it's messed up! i couldn't watch it! the top half of her head is cropped off & it looks like some of the bottom is too. it's like they put it on super letter box format. it's hard to complain to Netflix because when you "review" it , Netflix doesn't want you saying Netflix! if i was Liza & this was my project, i would be so pissed.

  • Liza back on top...clearly in great form at The Hollywood Bowl this past summer, this DVD is a winner for all who love a great singer in peak form...GO LIZA!!!

  • Saw her at the Hollywood Bowl this past summer. She was great. I really miss good old-fashioned entertainment from people with real talent. And I'm not old! LOL

  • why was she shaking

  • Saw the show on Broadway and loved it. And I met her afterwards! She is a fun, gratious lady. I am truly happy to see her back on top! What a survivor!

  • This is one of those shows that will go down in Broadway history. All I will say to the negative rude comments is - How come the show on Broadway had to be extended? Because Liza is the best Live show entertainer around. If you haven't been Liza'd you haven't lived

Go Liza, Your true fans believe in you

  • I saw this show twice at the Palace in NYC last December. I will always remember these two nights as the most entertained I have ever been in my life by a concert artist. And I have seen a lot of concerts!! This show deservedly won a Tony award. Buy this DVD! Liza is the best there is PERIOD!

  • @lizziesecondstreet Sorry, but she doesn't even begin to compare to her mother...or Streisand for that matter. But we'll probably have to agree to disagree. :)

  • please type in Liza Sings at Liberty, then let me know what you think.

  • @mtmorrispk Well...that was a good performance, but keep in mind that was 24 years ago too. And even in that performance, she takes several breaths where even 5-10 years earlier she could've carried the note in one long breath.

And at age 40, her mother (in 1962) still had a much stronger voice. Again, there are many clips on youtube from Garland's television show for examples. But...we'll all probably agree to disagree. :)

  • my reply is type Liza Sings at Liberty Weekend...you may re-think your statement. :)

  • @mtmorrispk --Yes, that performance has always stuck out in my mind, (1986, I think)---she was in top form that night.

  • You people are stupid!

  • looks like she's gotten some of brain back!

    You go Liza!

  • lulz

  • say what???
