Congratulations on ur 2nd degree dude :) Very good video thanks. I do BJJ andlove it wish i started when was much younger but its a big part of my life now thats the main thing :) Look forward to more of ur vids.
@Dunstenchecksin Thank you very much. This video was taken 3 years ago, I will be testing for my 3rd Degree (Sandan) Black Belt at this upcoming summer 2012 :) Surely I will make another highlight video, but my big plan, (New Years Resolution) is to create free promotional/free informational training videos that will be released to aspiring martial artists
This is a joke. Not pratical. A Bjj fighter would wipe the floor with you. An 18 year old black belt? You wouldn't last a day in a good bjj school. American Jiu Jitsu is a joke.
@scarred10 True that. It's funny that they made american jiu jitsu now. I guess there jealous that brazilian jiu jitsu is the shit. None them foreigners can be better then america.hahahaha
@ajizzlejiujitsudog Yeah, possibly not, but AJJ is not a fighting art like BJJ. You sound like you don't understand the difference between the fighting arts and the self defense/law enforcement arts. The conflict dynamics are completely different.
@mateusamancio The difference is simple; in the fighting arts, the training is based on the premise of two equally motivated people wanting to hurt each other and both carrying some concern about losing the battle or being hurt themselves. This is why fights last minutes & assaults last seconds. In self-defense arts, the training focuses on being an unwilling victim to more explosive forms of attack and the training encompasses a larger variety of scenarios including weapons & multiple attackers
How do you know this isn't practical? You're basing that on what? Have you seen these techniques tried in a real fight or competition from a black belt level stylist? BJJ is good to know but not all situations will require going to the ground.
These videos from your jiu jitsu center are great, but why cant I find any of people using it against a resisting opponent? Im not trying to be difficult like some of these other comments, but if you cant make your moves work against someone who wont let you then how can you make them work against an opponent who wants to hurt you? It becomes no more then the grappling equivalent of point karate? I ask only to gain insight and not illicit any shouting and name calling.
@liorkle I appreciate your comment. This test was more of a demonstration of the skills and experiences I've gained through training since I was 4 years old until i was 18 (in this video). I'm 21 now, and there have been a couple incidents in college where I've had to put my training to use. I was attacked in my sleep freshman year, I won't go into details but let's put it this way...it did not end well for that person.
I agree training is training. When used a resistant idiot wont expect it and when in the middle of technique will freeze because the ignorant dosent understant why his force upon a weaker opponent has gone wrong leaving himself vulnerable while your training overwhelms the senses. When he wakes up he becomes enlightened with reality... Maybe he shouldnt have attacked anyone who in his eyes may have seemed weaker then him. People expect for thugs to offer resistance... in a R fight.
@JCSportz11 mother of jaysus, youve wasted 14 yrs on that crap. What the obviously means is that you need to train against resistance, often full resistance just like wrestling ,kickboxing and judo does.
Great video with effective techniques. However the technique at 0:53 could be potentially dangerous on the street. He has submission on uke but with his back turned God forbid should someone pull a knife or gun.

I am in the Marine corps, and in Infantry they teach us Jujitsu...because I will never forget what my USMC Combat instructors told me and that is BJJ users are trained to go 5 rounds in a sport, WE TRAIN TO END IT IN 5 SECONDS! OORAH.....So all you BJJ users talking shit just remember that
@OoRaHDaWg21 Totally; real life violence rarely resembles the "sparring" type of conflict dynamic that MMA and BJJ practitioners primarily train for. Because of increased civilian interaction, modern Marine Corps training is based on the same Use Of Force Continuum taught to law enforcement officers, but the intent is still the same as the older Marine training of kill & destroy....end the conflict in five seconds or less! OORAH And yeah, Japanese Jujutsu is at the core of all this training.
@9iNy No its not shiho nage. The entry is similar... but he is throwing more with the wrist/ extended elbow. Whereas shiho nage the arm is crooked like an ude garame. End result is the same in both though... attacker hurtin on the floor :-P Ill try to find the japanese translation for this throw for ya if I can.
@PsychosGeckos No disrespect intended. I've done over 40 years of research and am now well past my best so don't challenge me to a dual cos you'll probably win.......cheers
@PsychosGeckos Hi, What I meant was I've bee training in JJ for over forty years. My only problem with the BJJ system, is that they seem to want to get on the groung asap. It is a street self-defense scenario based art including three topics.
1. Free-Fighting self defense, which teaches to deal with the Street attacks both trained or untrained (kicking, punching, blocking, take downs etc)
2. Stand-Up Self Defense, - which teaches to deal with the Self Defense situations from grabs, weapons & law Enforcement Tactics
3. Submission Grappling- which teaches to deal Self-defense from all Ground situations
Our goal is develop Mind Body Unification
