  • Ahhh good times!!! I was in high school when this song came out. Still have the vinyl record..still know every damn word. lol

  • Grandmaster Caz has 274 accounts.but ok its sad that Big Bank was a biter.gotta go with Caz

  • who came only for the bass guitar? :D

  • So Sad the forefathers of rap just 6 million of views Justin Bieber 600 millions

  • @yohanntimban Think of it this way. This video has survived centuries. He's song's won't

  • @Rushgoon1 True that i can't agree more with u

  • @yohanntimban look at it this way, this was around way before youtube so the people that know this track probably dont need to come here to here it. still a shame though

  • hi ! I don't often listen that song, that I love to hear, cause it brings a kind of joy in my heart each time I listen to it. And when there's a Fiesta, nothing better to have a good ambiance. Thanks for sharing, there was a long time that I've not listened to it, and now, it's in m my favorites. BYE !

  • I also like hot butter on my breakfast toast

  • This was then beginning of REAL RAP as we know it today. I was 5 years old when this song came out. I remember this when I was jamming to the beat at the roller skate rink in the 80's. Boy those was the days of fun.

  • i think i just jizzzed :L

  • it came 79 out

  • what year did this come out?

  • @xjsmx4lifex their first album which includes this song came out in 1980

  • It's funny how rap emerged as an offshoot of disco. I'm not really a fan of disco, but the offshoot was definitely a positive one. I favor rap with a complexity to their lyrics compared to the very early rap, but I still like them as well.

  • Bang BANG boggie to the boggie say up jump the boggie to the bang bang

    baby lets ROCK!

  • one of the first rap songs

  • @darkmatter1997

this is the first rap song

King Tim (Personality Joke) The Fatback Band

    came def later!!!

  • 20 Kurupt

After coming up through the LA underground scene, this Philly-bred MC got his start alongside Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger as a member of The Dogg Pound. A lyrical maniac, Kurupt ventured solo and mad a name for himself as a solo artist. A multi-syllabic rapper who can light a fire under any MC in the game.

    19 Busta Rhymes

Busta has an amazing delivery and is very charismatic. Can switch up his flow and delivery without missing a beat. Came into the game being associa

  • Haha I knew the top two comments were gonna be some shit talking about the current state of hip hop. It's pretty damn easy to find good new hip hop.

  • u guys dont know shit about real rap

  • So that's where Pitbull got the hotel motel holiday inn thing from...

  • This song is fuckin awesome

  • This started rap. I moved to Atlanta GA and I told my friends this started rap and they said rap started in Georgia

  • The Genesis of Rap. This is Moses leading Rap into the promised land where Tupac (Black Jesuz) could come

  • The song that made rap music.

  • Like this if you came to this video just because you remember this song and think it has a tight sound :D

  • Hip.Hop is from Hungary......

  • Actually Blondie was doing this in 1979 - its called "Rapture".

  • They should use guitar rifts in rap songs more often nowadays...

  • I'm here because of Mac Miller

  • @fabianbreda YOU COULD NEVER be here because of Mac Miller!

  • Scrubs :D

  • 240p we meet again

  • these punk ass rappers can learn somethinjg from this instead of calling women bitches and slapping them around and drugs and killing this is real rap not that garbage thats out now

  • @scottgsmith1973 rap has always involved degrading and insulting lyrics, its about telling a story, i agree with you that the stuff out today dosent do just that, but in the past rap has shown us the deeper darker real-er side of life, look deeper than the words before you put them in a box. one love.

  • @scottgsmith1973 Come on now. I know we all like old school but listen to the lyrics man. These guys (especially the second guy) are talking about taking hoes to the hotel, motel, holiday in, his super sperm, he calls himself the ladies pimp. Come on this could be an old school version of 50's candy shop. Hip Hop can be deep but can also be fun. It's not about actin like we above everything sometimes it's just about being honest and sayin it's fun to party and get wit hoes (cuz THEY DO EXIST)

  • @Seethetruthandtalk Exactly!

  • @scottgsmith1973 You have ICP in your profile and you're gonna preach about "real rap"? C'mon son.

  • @scottgsmith1973 well.. Eminem isnt exactly garbage, he raps about hes own life, not slapping bitches around n using drugs :)

  • @scottgsmith1973

Sorry homie, but rap was always sexist

  • @ZeentheZant Cool story, bro.

  • ok his shirt is just too tight ... you know who i mean... it just shows how they really didnt make much money by djing and rapping.. it was all a culture, and they were true and stuck with it

  • I remember this song when I was a preteen. When this came out everyone was singing this. This song became an icon for early rappers.

  • Totally energized! Can't shake off this feeling in my body.

  • adeenmckenziekenedy toteky think de same. and im 15 so yeah

I am not trying to hate on them but this sounds better because there is no cussing, or inappropriately sexual words or anything like that. It is just right and this came out 33 years ago! • MOST OF THE LYRICS OF THIS SONG WERE PLAGIARIZED FROM PREVIOUS RHYMES BY GRANDMASTER CAZ (Casanova fly)

  • @PlayaBoss96 Also, the song was sampled, but they split the money with the original rapper. I guess that is how people are, especially today. What happened to the talent and individuality?
