I used to work at MGM Grand and the lions are not mistreated.They have had several issues with the young male lions but no attacks.The lion was trying to be top lion and was trying to be dominant.And with respect to wanlife posting the lions were on the ceiling of a see-thru walkway.The lion was looking down at the freaked out onlookers
it amazes me when ppl think this behaviour is "shocking". I mean it's a lion...it's used to being wild and instinctively that's how they play and behave in their world. when you mix human's world with theirs, it doesn't always mesh well.
The lion was only after that one guy once he started. He didn't care about the other trainer just was ready to take the first one down. Couldn't see any wounds on the guy when he left but if he had been able to get the guy down it would have turned out much worse Thanks to the quick action of the other trainer to get it under control quickly. Even after the trainer left the encloser the lion ran over and was looking for him like a cat looking for its prey.

He wasn't trying to kill the guy he was just showing him who was boss. Of course a Lion not trying to kill would occur in a challenge with another Lion, he could still kill a human in the same situation.
Also the lion only went after the one trainer not the other.

lol i wish that dumbass got fucked up, both of them and i wish the lioness came over and helped instead of trying to break it up...this isnt shocking at all, 2 people in a fucking cage with with 2 lions...is there any good outcome to that situation?...and the other times they didnt get hurt they got lucky...theyre predators that kill if anyone or anything invades there space.....what else is there to say??

Maybe the drugs were not effective for the Male Lion.
Female lion is behaving like she was under drugs.

So this is a 'Lion Attack' is it? Do me a favour? If that lion had attacked, both those guys would have been a mass of screaming guts n gore in seconds and dead within a minute! I did not see any blood in that video. They just seem to have 'lost control' for a second. But then, that's what you get for messing around with wild animals and keeping them in inappropriate conditions. When are people going to realise that wild animals are not playthings. if you guys did know anything about lions then you would see that he is just playing .. and the lioness is playing too .. they dont bite each other in the tail while trying to stopa fight .. and you can see while the lion is down he is not trying to bite .. and the lionnes she would be agressive and show some freaking teeth to stop him .. but she is playing too .. you cant hold down a lion if he is attacking and the trainer panicks and runs .. that just makes it more fun for the lion ..

@killa2king cause lions have teeth and claws that are sharp ..The Lion had no intentions of doing permanent damage. It wasn’t hungry. It wasn’t anything like that. It was just a quick signal.. they are wild animals yet they can be very playful i have worked with lions and tigers for the past 6 years .. if they wanna hurt you then they do .. and then you need more then few stitches.

You just have to be flat out insane to be in a cage or anywhere exposed to a lion (without a weapon). All it takes is 5 seconds for a lion to kill you... if he wants to kill you. You're really taking a hugh gamble regardless of how much an experienced trainer you think you are.

I used to work at MGM Grand and the lions are not mistreated.They have had several issues with the young male lions but no attacks.The lion was trying to be top lion and was trying to be dominant.And with respect to wanlife posting the lions were on the ceiling of a see-thru walkway.The lion was looking down at the freaked out onlookers

it amazes me when ppl think this behaviour is "shocking". I mean it's a lion...it's used to being wild and instinctively that's how they play and behave in their world. when you mix human's world with theirs, it doesn't always mesh well.

The lion was only after that one guy once he started. He didn't care about the other trainer just was ready to take the first one down. Couldn't see any wounds on the guy when he left but if he had been able to get the guy down it would have turned out much worse Thanks to the quick action of the other trainer to get it under control quickly. Even after the trainer left the encloser the lion ran over and was looking for him like a cat looking for its prey.

@slickfritz781 It wasn't a predatory attack, it was an attack to show dominancy. The trainer leaning against the wall was staring directly at the lion and his body stance to the Lion was a challenge. He wasn't trying to kill the guy he was just showing him who was boss. Of course a Lion not trying to kill would occur in a challenge with another Lion, he could still kill a human in the same situation.
Also the lion only went after the one trainer not the other.
