Why does anybody listen to this asskisser? All he does is tell minorities what they want to hear so that they will praise him. I also see he never mentions the amount of influence Jews had on slavery or their influence in the wars of Europe.
You are completely missing the point. For the most part, the lives of early Africans were not that different than their white counterparts. Most were indentured servants. Actually most people don't know that they tried to have white slaves, but they couldn't sustain it politically. Early Africans actually saw their rights taken away as racism and african slaves became the mainstay for economical development.
I understand your point, it just comes off as Africans got the shit end of the deal by chance. The most naturally rich continent, the most divide continent & poorest people in the world.

You should check out the book Guns, Germs, and Steel. It lays out this notion of "chance". Africans did get a bad deal, no mistake about it.
I am still very optimistic about Africa even with a lot of the terrible things going on in some countries.
