I am not sure how old Buddy is. The girl that had him previously said she thought he was about three at the time she gave him to us. That has been a few years ago. Estimated age around 10yrs. He had one other owner before the girl that gave him away to me. He was in an abusive situation at the time we received him.

I adopted him from the Parrot Rescue I volunteer for about two years ago. His adoption fee was $350. If you were to purchase one from a breeder or store is would be around $800-$900.

Adoption is great and I would encourage you to check out the adoptable birds in your area first :)

Thank you! Hahaha I've never hear him described as "spongy" before but I like it. He goes in for a vet check about every four months or so (to get his nails trimmed), and the vet tells me he is a very healthy boy :)

Ha! My Bluefront's named Ollie too!. He lurves to sing with me or with a recording. He especially loves musicals - anything passionate. Sometimes he even sings to the TV. Mind you, much like your Ollie, no actual words are involved, but plenty of enthusiasm. I really should try to post a clip of him sometime.

Ollies prev owner said he didn't talk that much, but he has a pretty big vocab. He says a lot of things that he must have learned in one of his other homes because I've never said them to him, lol!
