@DxGKILLZz are you saying that you turn the choke on after you drive it around if you do that it doesn't get the air it needs to keep running. If that is not your problem then try to adjust your idle but I'm guessing you've trued that. If it's not that it may be you need a new diafram

how do you start is it like this put petrol in click petrol switch on put choke on start it till it cuts out then put choke on the start it is tht rite.

@lukereidy100 mix the petrol and oil and put it in the tank, push the primer bulb under the carb untill it pulls petrol through, put the choke ON, pull the cord quickly and sharply untill it starts(might need to give a little bit of throttle), once started let it warm for 30secs or so, switch the choke OFF, let it warm abit more, then you can ride it.

hi just bought a used dbx gas scooter today its the same as yours, and i was wondering if you could help me tweek mine up, by just giving some pointers on what to do, at the moment it does around 15mph but im not sure if i can get it as high as yours with out spending too much money, the most i would spend is around 35 dollars. can you help me please?

@nishulpatel best and cheapest mod i did was to fit a K&N style air filter with a velocity stack, cost me about £20 in all, only problem you will come across if you did this is starting the scooter, you will have to remove the airfilter each time and manually choke it with your hand or something similar.

@andruha11234 sounds like your air/fuel mix is wrong, are you turning the choke off once youve started it? have you done any mods etc?

@Rudi14 no, no mods, stock engine. I do turn the choke of once it idles and i tried adjusting the little screw all the way from tight to very loose... still dies right after i give it a little gas. I even took the whole carb apart and cleaned it and blew it with compressed air.

next thing i would do would be to change the sparkplug for a nice new one, then fill it up with some brand new petrol and remix it with some new oil at 25:1, then if im still haveing problems get a compression test done on it, anything below 100psi then chance are you need to check/change your piston, your rings and bore.

@andruha11234 hmm sorry, without being there and fiddling with it i really cant say, compression testers can be bought for like £40 but theres no point tbh ive seen brand new engine for these scoots on ebay for cheaper than that.

@Rudi14 ok, so u want to now how to check the compression of the engine, start her up, then put your finger ofer the exaust pipe, if she cuts out u know she doing good, if it stops slow or dose not stop shes got a leek, its peace of piss, just find it and weld it up.

@buchan2 thats not how to check your compression, thats how to check if you exhaust is blowing/air leak, to do an accurate compression test you need a compression tester which you put down the sparkplug hole then turn the engine over a few times to get a reading, alternativly you can put your finger over the sparkplug hole and turn the engine over a few times and see if it gets pushed off but even with bare minimum compression your finger will get pushed off so its not very accurate at all.

i want no when u have just bort your petrol scooter and u put petrol in it does the scooter stay running and can u drive it straight a way will it need tuning can you use it straight away out of the box.

just mix the oil with the petrol and put it in, push the primer bulb a few times to get the fuel to the carb, switch the choke on then pull the pull start a few times and it should start up, let it idle for a little while maybe 20mins or so, then take it slow for the first few tanks of petrol then your good too ride it as much as you want.

just make sure you mix the petrol and oil at a ratio of 25:1.

petrol is petrol lol, i prefer to use a higher octane to stop any "knocking" from pre ignition and such but any petrol will do, just make sure to mix it with good quality 2-stroke oil.

well if you have the tools then you can have it done within an hour, but if like me you had to improvise some tools then it will take a little while longer, your also gonna need a new head gasket.

No thats totaly wrong, you need to mix it at a ratio of 25:1 which means for every 25ml of petrol you add 1ml of oil.

if you really want perfomance chuck a walbro chainsaw big bore carburetor on it and hook up a custom throttle system for it and if you want even more power from it get a dremel and port the ports instead of this k&n filter, ngk spark plug and tuned exhaust crap

putting the airfilter on is simple it just one screw but before you can attach it you need a velocity stack which bolts to the front of the carb, without a velocity stack you want have anywhere to pount the air filter.

Yes it does make the scooter quicker, especially once youve tuned the carb correctly.

18mph sounds about right if its totally stock, if you want it ot go faster you have to mod it, big bore kit, bigger drive sprocket, open air filter and a sports pipe will have it doing 40 when setup correctly.

Yep, but the tyres that are on it are made for tarmac and a pretty slick so are useless on mud, you can get knobbly tyres for it though.

If i were you i wouldnt paint the engine itself, if gets very hot and with the wrong paint the paint will flake off and can even catch fire.

Hey Nice vid but i really wouldent recomend this scooter i bought one and it broke lots or times pull start the aluminum pice inside the exghaust broke of its just chinise crap this is becuase they dont make the metal strong enough and sell it cheap just mite asweel put another 100 or 200 and but one which will last some time

u must have got unlucky with the pullstarts i know they are fragile but ive had mine 3 years and only replaced it once because i took it apart to oil it and couldnt get the spring back in. Too bad about the exhaust moral of the story is dont drop it lol.
