Robert Cornthwait played in several good 50's Sci-Fi movies lke "War of the Worlds" and "The Thing". He also had a part as a butler on "Cheers". Great character actor!
Louis F.Edelman and Sheldon Leonard The executive producers. and Materto Productions Inc danny thomas production company co-produce the TV series Danny Thomas Own The TV Series.
Wonderful video. The King's Men Quartet. I had never heard of them, until I saw a collection of old westerns. The Adventures of Jim Bowie was included and I kept saying to myself, who is singing this beautiful music? Excellent.
The miscasting of bland Scott Forbes in the title role, and the music score provided by Ken Darby, which was totally belonged to another TV series (It was used to much better advantage on "Wyatt Earp." And the supporting characters (most notably John James Audobon) were much more interesting than the lead character, so the whole endeavor comes off as a stillborn, ill-conceived exercise.
For those who never watched the series, it lasted about two seasons on ABC in the mid-1950's. I caught several episodes on the Nostalgia Channel, and I felt the show was marred by two things:

So it's "BOO-ee", not "BOH-ee" (as in David)?

I never saw the show, but I love the theme . It's typical of many mid-50's theme songs. That is; simple, basic and very enjoyable.

I agree. I think Ken Darby did the vocal arrangements for "The Wizard of Oz."

I kind of liked him in the role. I thought he added a bit of comedy even when he wasn't trying to. Sort of like the Ed Wood of TV Westerns.
