just a well thought out, reasoned opinion. I have heard better songs/records from garage bands. Why do you think VH1 has a very popular series entitled: Worst Songs Ever? It does not mean they were never successful.  This record should be a candidate!

I was shocked to hear that Archie made this hit before being drafted for the Vietnam war.

The drummer also made it out of a war...his mom let him stay up so that he could play with Archie and the fellas.

This is terrible. I really can't believe it went to #100, much less #1. Just compare this to any other R&B, like Otis Redding, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder. This is SO lacking in any music quality, and then you have, what, 10 guys on stage, to boot. AWFUL
