my husband is currently undergoing a stem cell transplant for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was diagnosed March 2007 at 28 years old and he started chemo shortly after. He had a relapse after the treatments, hence the stem cell transplant. I was pregnant and due with our 2nd child in June 2007, it was a crazy summer. We're hoping for a better summer this year once his transplant is all done! Our 2 year old is getting cabin fever from being housebound because we're afraid of getting sick!
every time I need inspired I come in and watch this again, always makes me cry but gives me such a rush of survival. This is a real message, we have, we can and we will.. Joan
I am really moved. My husband is going through a autologeous stemm cell transplant now. He received the cells on June 29th, so today he is on "Day 4"...
The time is terribly long. This is the time when both patient and close family really needs friends.
We do not have so many, but they are really good and true friends.
4 months ago I was writing that my husband was going through autologeous stemm cell transplant, he was on day 4.
On day 8, finally, his blood started to move up.
On day 14, Friday July 13, he was let out of the hospital, with not blood check planned before 10 days! From Friday to Wednesday he seamed OK, then everyday more and more tired.
Saturday July 21, he was in a severe anemia, and around 6 PM he was dead.
Although I am starting to live again, I am still so mad at the hospital.
