I was really hoping to find the original clip of this, which was classic. Too bad the only one I can find is this one that you completely ruined with those juvenile sound effects. Thanks for nothing.
@spamhater67 I was really hoping YOU would have something in the line of ORIGINAL videos to share. But I see you're just another no-talent "advisor" of the stinky persuasion.
@thursdaysrecords: YouTube is not the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; it's more like People's Choice: anyone who has an account can comment. YouTube comments are for feedback. I provided SynchroTotal constructive criticism and direction (no one else has as of yet) and I didn't call him names (as have others). SynchroTotal can turn comments off it he wants, and he posts at his own risk. But why take my word for it? Visit youtube.com/t/community_guidelines
@PeterRabbit000 Constructive criticism? That's "code" for neagtive comments. It's also code for "I know I have no talent of my own, but I still feel that I should cut down what you call entertainment."
In other words, I agree with the poster who stated that those who can DO....you can finish this thought, I'm sure!
I personally wasn't offended by the soundtrack; I was simply not wowed—the Foley effects were bloated like a laugh track that guffaws at anything. Done well, overdubs can be great fun. If you want to see mastery, study Mystery Science Theater 3000 clips. Good luck next time.
This is one of the most tasteless things I've ever seen on YouTube. It's sophomoric and obviously made by somebody who doesn't understand a thing about class.
@1stevewhite1 Glad you're shocked. Did it damage the stick up your butt, or do you require a re-setting by your proctologist. Just wonderin (not that I care)..
@MCHR58 I agree. The silly dancing of these two clowns ruins those wonderful sound effects. How dare these so-called comedians ruin what could have been a beautiful acustic interlude!
@schweve You are so RIGHT! The music and sound effects came FIRST. Then these two pathetic comedians loused it all up with their silly dance routine. The only saving grace here are the sound effects and the Jazz music. Otherwise, this pathetic hobble-di-dobble served up as a dance routine could never be tolerated.
Thanks for taking a classic SNL skit & totally trashing it with a stupid soundtrack. Creative license is al well & fine when it is indeed creative, and that is most asurredly not the case here.
Have they found a cure for your condition yet? How many bugs did they detect? I mean in your rectum. Or did they find away to flush all that crap out?
@downwithdinosaurs Are you speaking for yourself, or for all untalented, jealous fools as a group?
I find this video creative and entertaining. Perhaps my views are influenced by the fact that I am also a creative and contributing You Tuber. Those who can do, those who can't complain and belittle. We know which group you belong to.
dude...your "creativity" is sophmoric and not at all funny. Combine that with a classic clip from a classic duo, and you put the wrong stuff at the wrong place at the wrong time. sory bro, when i clicked on the video i was excited to recall what i had seen so many years back...and then was let down. farts are ALWAYS funny! how did you manage to even ruin tat?
Great creativity but could you post the original sketch with its original music, it would be so nice, after so many years, to see it as it was shown originally. Thanks!
@SynchroTotal Trust me - absolutely no one could possibly be jealous of you. You have no talent and your activity on YouTube is everything but prolific. Way to have a huge ego for no reason.
@downwithdinosaurs Why shoudl I trust YOU? After all, you've got no talent at all. You have produced NOTHING and are "sharing" only your obvious jealousies and desperate feelings of inferiority. I can certainly validate your concerns in those respcts.
Love this routine! Just saw the whole programme on Sky Arts and loved it all. The irony of the piece is obviously the romantic strains of 'Dancing in the Dark' and the brilliant parody of all the Cyd Cherise/Gene Kelly/Fred Astaire. Thank you for posting the wonderful piece - hope you don't mind but the best way to watch your post is with the sound off and humming 'Dancing in the Dark' to onesself.
It's quite irrelevant if the people who hate this video have uploaded no videos of their own-period. "Creativity" and having an opinion on other people's "creativity" or two different things.
@goldbergje Criticism is great - unless it comes from those who have nothing BETTER to show in their own work (as is almost always the case). Which is exactly what happened here. Some things you leave alone.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@GoofyGlo Creative liberty. I thought it added a comic touch. There is no requirement for everyone to agree. Why don't YOU create something entertaining and then YOU can garner cheers (or jeers) from an audience.
You'd have a better argument if you could offer ANYTHING at all; sadly all YOU offer truly IS crap (in form of unappreciative reviews).
You've chosen to watch a FREE show. Your presence here is not mandatory. Please don't complain about wasted time, when it was your free will to watch. You only added to your "plite" by spending even more time writing a "review".
Those who can do. Those who can't...well it looks like they complain.
PRODUCE something of value. Then see who loves it!
@schlummieleinchen if you people cant take criticism then may i suggest you disable comments. Or not put your art/piece of shit up for public display then complain when some people dont like it. And for Gods sake grow a pair because you come across as a 6 year old bitch
@ooohyeahnachoman ....and by "you people" you mean the ones who actually contribute something by sharing their ideas and talents? The ones who DO rather than just offer cheap comments? The ones who CREATE rather than tear down? Please explain your choice of words, because I'm not sure to whom you are trying to "teach" some of your elusive wisdom.
May I assume that your non-contributor status is not likely to change? How does it feel to be a parasite? Do Stinkers serve any purpose in society?
@schlummieleinchen you call this talent? its bullshit. he/it took the work of two genius and gifted comedians and made it fucking awful. talk about parasites? What about the parasites whos "talent" is slightly modifying someone elses work and then calling it a "creation"
Well it is a creation, its a creation of shit.
Its like painting a fucking dick on the mona lisa and then having the nerve to say youve created something great when in fact you havent created anything. Youve destroyed it
@ooohyeahnachoman You responded, but your response has NOTHING to do with the QUESTIONS askjed of you.
Are you oblivious to the facts, or do you simply believe that volume covers up substance?
You have NO talent, NO contributions and NO communication skills. You answered NOTHING, yet keep talking and talking and talking....about NOTHING. If all you do is stink up a room, you contribute NOTHING of any value to anyone. It's called SABOTAGE.
@ooohyeahnachoman What are you, 8? You conclude an argument with THAT? WOW! Did you actually FINISH grade school, or did you get "passed" because your daddy was so tough? Very convincing arguments, I must say! I'm sure you're very successful in life....not to mention POPULAR.
You really are coming across as an overwrought moron. The poster you are wailing about answered all of your questions. Not all "creative" efforts are brilliant or worthy of anyone's attention.
I was really hoping to find the original clip of this, which was classic. Too bad the only one I can find is this one that you completely ruined with those juvenile sound effects. Thanks for nothing.

nice gag by Steve Martin, though he actually stole it from Jerry Lewis, who did this dance in Cinderfella in 1960.....

I love Steve & Gilda, I love the Charleston, and I LOVE this video production!
A nice change from the plain clips cut and pasted. Finally someone who adds some original ideas to classic comedy.
The negative comments come from 100% untalented people with no uploads of their own. It figures! Those who can DO, those who can't complain.
