@ToStompU its not only sounds the 2 stroke is a whole nother beast compared to the 4 stroke, a 2 stroke 125 can produce as much power as a 4 stroke 250 plus the 2 strokes are alot simpler to work on (i just unseized a motor with a rusted stuck crank that sat for 6 years in a barn it took less than 24 hours to go from seized to running lets see a 4 stroke do that) also 2 strokes are way more fun

@ToStompU i got the bike seized and people mistreat bikes, have you ever ridden a 2 stroke vs. a 4 stroke, and another thing, when you dont care for a 2 stroke it most likely will just stop running, instead of having a catastrophic failure like a 4 stroke can, the maintenance on a 2 stroke is easy, keep gas/oil in it, change the trans oil every so often, and make sure to keep up with your air filter

@ToStompU but with a 4 stroke you have valves to worry about plus the engine shares the oil with the transmission, and the 2 stroke is more fun because you have a strong hit at the powerband while a 4 stroke is just mellow all the way through, the rpm range plus a 2 stroke is alot lighter and more manuverable over a 4 stroke, i have owned both and i prefer the powerful hit and stone cold reliability of a 2t but some prefer the mellow hit and high maintanance of a 4t

@ToStompU my bike doesnt get hot when i go mellow it gets colder actually, it just has a higher risk of fouling plugs, but within the year ive owned it, i only fouled one plug, its all about the premix, and jetting as to how cool the bike is and how much you will foul plugs. but i ride a 250 2t so its a little more forgiving on the low end than say a 125 or an 80 is, i can ride around at 10mph in 2nd and 3rd gear in the trails all day and it still lugs around like nobodys business

alot of what peopel dont know is if he hits the jump a certain wat and at the top of the jump it doesn't look like hes gionna land correct you can hit it hard witha rev and it will lift the front a little.. he tends to do it more often than most but thats probably a reason.

I could be wrong since I dont compete but I don't think you are supposed to run the engine wide open on a 2 stroke or pull back that far on the throttle without a load on the transmission (in the air). I suspect doing that is all kinds of bad for the engine. I can think of 3 things that I would find if I took that puppy apart.

@IIWARF4REII I trail ride a YZ250, it isn't bad at all. I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket and put on a flywheel weight. after those two changes it rides great through the woods. very controllable. The new KTM 200w is already set up for the woods. it is fast as hell.
