  • Thank You So Much!

  • Excellent video! :) But one question, do you have 20/20 vision?

  • wau..... ur vision improvement really amazing. Is it possible to find that russian book in English in Russia? Coz I'm planning to search for it. If it is in Russian, who is the author and what's the title of the book?

What should I do if I have myopia -5,5 on left, 4,5 on right. I can see tremendous improvement on left eye after the excercise for 1 week but not in right eye. What should I do?

  • Thank you for this information.

I love the part where you rub our palms and stare into the darkness.

  • One very important thing to remember is that no matter how much "effort" we put, our eyes won't focus onto an object at will. All these exercises and habits are for conducting the eyes to be in a more healthy and relaxed state to focus better -automatically- as objects appear. That's why swinging (which induces relaxation) and relaxation itself are so important.

  • I do them as frequently as my daily activities allow :-) Some ppl recommend only once daily and even rest for some days altogether but in my case doing them repeatedly day after day has worked great so far. The "look in circles" exercise is particularly benefiting! Also blinking relaxedly -as if releasing the eyes of all stress-, looking at the horizon, and palming.

  • Just to let you all know... I've been doing these exercises for about a week and already have improved my vision to the point of not needing glasses. A week ago I was about to go to the optometrist for that very reason... how good is that!!

  • Wow, Thank you so much for letting me know. It means a lot to me!

A good additional exercise I happened "to Invent" a couple of month ago: Softly pinching the eyelid with thumb and index finger pressing against the surface of the eye through the eyelid; - and vibrating the fingers together, invigorating the eye!

BTW, how often were you doing these to get such a marvelous result?

  • Thank you!!!

  • I love this, so helpful!!

  • Heehee...Lady you funny! :D

"Stare in to the dark ness!"

  • Sat Nam, Yes, the healing womb of creation.

    Wahe Guru,

  • I knew there was a reason I Love Giraffes. You know, spartanzblood, it took me three weeks to understand what you really meant. It was sufficient to say: Stare into the dark; and I was intensifying it saying:into the Darkness. I guess my metaphysical self was kicking in.

  • I tried them on, - and it felt so good! Immediately I went to the eye doctor for the first time in my life, and got glasses +1.75.

I do not really know what vision it translates into. Did I mention these are The Reading Glasses?!!

Anyway, I am absolutely sure that when there is some more Peace in my life ( I have a ton, but I need more); - I will be able to cure my eyes back to complete heath.

    Sat Nam,

    Zuni Blue

  • BTW, how is your vision? I have 20/200 when stressed but when my eyes are relaxed can often see 20/60. I have discarded my glasses as per the Bates method.

  • Dear Otto,

A surprise came about 5 years ago, when I had a Power Integration workshop in Canada BC, came to the customs in the airport - and could not see anything on the form. Looking back I think I allowed my mind to form some not the best conclusions - I said to myself: The power energy integration was so powerful - that it blew my vision. On that custom card I just kinda guessed where and what to write. But to myself I strongly advised:

  • I am NOT wearing glasses! I am just going to breathe, hold the intention to see, and I WILL SEE! This attitude lasted me some 5 years!

The last two years of my life were extremely stressful, in part as well as extremely blissful, - but I noticed lately that I was squinting my eyes too much to see. On top of that they were watering somewhat. So, about two weeks ago my son and I happened to be in the store. and HE GRABBED SOME GLASSES!

  • Thanks Sednam(?),

Dr. Bates pointed out that the extraoccular muscles wrapped around the eyes are involved in the accommodating function. They can change the shape of the eyeball and thus change the focal length. These muscles are stronger than need be for the work of moving the eyes and focusing them.

Strengthening, he argues, is not what is needed for eye health, but relaxation. That relaxation comes from the mind and has the effect of releasing any subconscious strain on the eyes.

  • Thank You, Otto.

It is Sat Nam. Sa - means Infinity; it is also the first note on Hindi musical scale - Where everything comes from - and Sat - means Truth. Nam is like English word name - stands for identity. My son is just about to start wearing glasses for stigma; it is 20/30. I will show him our communication - may be he will reconsider. Thanks!

To relax the mind I am learning The Alexander technique -

    inhibiting all tissues into "not doing";

  • as well as learning to use the mind to direct energy flow in the tissues - as "doing". Funny, I really feel like saying: Interesting sh.. May be it is because i just finished editing and posted Blue Swan's Ghost Dance. So, may be that is activating a bit of a shadow stuff.

I also really wish to repeat some Myofascial Release seminars with John Barnes, P.T. - and get my eye balls unwound by some skillful hands. Have you ever had a MFR treatment?

  • Bates was so wrong, the ciliary muscle alone changes accommodation, the actions of the extraocular muscles cannot change the shape of your eyeball.

  • OK t666dom,

Do you have a recommendation for relaxing the ciliary muscle?

  • It is relaxed whilst looking at distance objects, it contracts to look at near objects, the nearer the object the more it contracts, loss of accommodation (presbyopia) is due to the stiffening of the lens proteins, so no amount of "exercise" will change this.

  • Bates or not Bates, - there is an exercise included looking at a distant objects and then looking at nearby objects intently with intensity. Switching both. Rhythm in. Vibration in - Life in. Could you tell me why did you pick your name as is? it's like kingdom - only yours is 666dom. Are you fan of 666? If nit would you provide some constructive criticism?

  • I'm providing fact not criticism. But certain eye exercises can impeove your eye control, and binocularity, the muscles themselves cannot be strenghened in the way you might lift weights to improve strength in your arms

  • Comment removed

  • You don`t need lab research, just a basic knowledge of ocular anatomy is enough to refute Bates' claims

  • Everybody should have some magical box full of all kind of tools, helping you to stay healthy young beautiful and fascinated with life as long as you live. What's in yours?

What do you use to relax your ciliary muscle? eye lid tremble as in EMDR, eye ball myofascial release, crania sacral therapy to relax actually all the tissues in the brain including all the parts of the brain, not just media tissue surrounding the eyes, perhaps deep meditation technique reaching the depth of brain

    Blessings

  • Very nice video. I hope this has helped someone.

FYI you must definitely did not pick up these exercises from Bates method. He was against any exercises and believed the eyes were greatly stronger than the task they were designed for and only needed to be free of strain.

  • Dear Otto,

Nice cartoon you are making! I loved the birds walking on the legs in jeens. Are you a birdy yourself?

It could have been not Bates. I can not pull the book off of the shelf and check. It stayed back in Turkmenistan. The last tip about the strengthening the "blind spot" is from methodology called Touch for Health.

What do you mean when you say "the eyes are greatly stronger than the task they were designed for"?
