  • can't be malmsteens, malmsteens vibrato's are so noticably perfect..

  • @whoahesgood

...and the picking would be cleaner and very rarely would Yngwie use hammer-ons for ascending scalar runs. Actually when the video started playing, I instantly thought how much he looked like the recently deceased legend Gary Moore, plus the Gibson and some of the trills have a similar feel.

  • Amazing!!!!!

  • beautifull job.. i guess everyone thinks this is malmsteen and satch and or vai huh lol.. i was sitting there thinkin wow.. they sure do play it alike.. same track i think.. its a good thing i found out this is someone else or ide be walkin around saying.. ygnwie does an amazing piece of somewhere over the rainbow lol

The lead guitarist said "Chris Impellitteri" He is well known by some upcoming hotshots in Japan. Id say thats famous. Rich no. Famous, yes!

  • @Cychro This guy isn't Chris Impellitteri, the other dude was asking the guy on this video why he isn't famous.

  • Dear SN1P3R568, Thank you for your kind response to a seemingly idiot question. However, a title does not an artist make! Check out the other Impellitteri vid's and you will find this ain't him! That is, unless he's changed age, weight and had facial surgery!

I'd really like to know who this dude is! Does anybody know?

    Best wishes,

    Sill Wondering in Hollywood

  • @DeeBarber His name is Kristian Tjelle, he's about 20 years old and he's from a little place in Norway called Fræna.

  • A nice cover!

  • WOW!!! ♥[̲̅̅L̲̅]♥[̲̅̅O̲̅]♥[̲̅̅V̲̅]♥[̅ ̲̅E̲̅]♥

Who is the artist playing this??

  • @DeeBarber read the title of the vid...

  • this is like porn for your ears

  • @Bonziamo pervert

  • eargasm

  • @Bonziamo not so bad

  • yeah, you have style ;)

  • omfg.

  • What a sound mastering ! Your sound is absolutely superb in every video, and it's all in the fingers. Also, the music is totally understood and played, you are taking us to a wonderful travel into the song, and that was a prodigy.

After this video, I'm quite sure you are among the very best YT guitarists.

  • First off, this isn't a Steve Vai cover, and this certainly isn't Chris Impellitteri who originally recorded this instrumental version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" in the 80's. The guy in the video does a hell of a job mimicking the guitar god...

  • You have a really nice arrangement and I love the twins. Truly an inspiring performance. You are another player whose mastery of his instrument has allowed you to put your own feelings into the song. That is the difference between the master and the students. Again, nice job. It is efforts like this that continues to inspire the youth to learn and people to listen. Thanks!

  • that was awesome!!!

  • i need to know where to download this song.

  • where did you get the tabs

  • LOVE IT!!

  • This Is The Steve Vai Version!!!

  • it make's me cry

  • That just turned my brain into shit!

  • slash fan? i hear tons of it in this if im right

  • Quina tècnica! Quina musicalitat...genial! Una peça molt maca!

  • Well done bro :D
