i dont think the statistics are right, all the while i thought, that the number of maids abussed and maids abussing are the same, but no link though, maybe this dude should provide a relevant and valid source to for the statistical data, i thought Malaysia was the worst according to Indonesian embassies.

I think your statement that half of the domestic helpers in Singapore are abused is a gross overstatement. Having lived in Singapore and having employed a maid, as did most of my friends and colleagues, I never once saw a maid that was abused in any form. I think that abuse is very much the exception rather than the rule. I agree that those few maids that are abused should have some sort of avenue to seek help, but to insinuate that Singapore is a dangerous place for maids is appalling!!
