  • Another fantastic cover from frenchytouch.

Can I suggest it would sound even better in headphones if you mix the bass towards the stereo centre.

  • @Helldad1948 I believe the original version has the bass panned to one side, and that's probably why they did as well.

  • I thought of that as soon as I posted the comment. You're probably right.

According to Lewisohn, when mixing down Beatle tracks, most of the effort went onto the mono masters, the stereo mixes were almost an afterthought, especially the early stuff.

  • Are you performing in theaters, or only in this way because you are fabolous.

  • I am amazed!

guys like you keep The Beatles alive for new generations.

    i want more!

  • bravo! this one's on my top list! continue covering great songs! i really love it!

  • coooooooooool

  • Guys, your talent is overwhelming !

  • That sounds amazing, but I have a question. At around 1:45 - and til the end, listen at the drums. MG's right hand continues the same constant beat, but your can here the beat changing from eighth to sixteenth notes. Anyways, very good job!

  • i guess its a tambourine...

  • Great song! Thanks for sharing this very nice video!

  • This is actually bang on ... You guys are amazing

  • I'm amazed by the accuracy of your covers. Awesome job!!!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • great stuff, but where's the 'frere jacque' backing lyrics? did you sing something else?

  • Bravos!That was excellent!The vocals especially!The backing vocals too! ;)

Just one tiny thing,I think you went a bit faster from 1:20,but otherwise it was perfect!

  • Awesome!

  • Just amazing Frenchy!!! Best to you, Stu, the Cavern Beat

  • excellent. Nice socks by the way! lol

  • Great as always..Vocals are sweet and your hofner is taking it's beautiful walk as always......

  • at first, i actually thought this was a REALLY good fake, and I literally had to play the real thing over it to differentiante, so 2 thumbs up :)

  • Bonjour Frenchytouch you are very talented!! Your singing is fabulous and your band is excellent. I LOVE The Beatles! 5 stars for this video *****

  • oh la la comme c'est bon!!! les seizièmes au hit hat, tu déchires à la batterie! gros respect comme d'hab.

  • je viens de voir que c'était une collaboration. Du super boulot les gars! Bravo

  • Good one man!

you really got in here. better voices and singing backin' voices well. You got it here with the video.

Advice: you're trying to sing like Paul but it's difficult for you. Don't put that much forward 'caus can ruin your art!

  • Super! J'ai envoyé ça à un ami musicien. En québécois,il dit: «Il est bon en criss!» En français: «Putain! Il est super».

    And I do agree!

    Je n'en manque jamais une...

  • merci!

  • criss de tabernacle.

  • Julien The reproduction is amazing. The vocals and harmonies are spot on. Congratulations to all participants;) Regards Billy ;)

  • thanks billy!

  • Another great job, if getting them as close to the originals is your goal, (and you do a great job of it) then you need be singing Fera Jaqua" in the background as the Bealtes did.

    Kemp 'em coming dude.

  • fantastic :)

  • 凄い!Wonderful!

  • I love this its one of my favorite songs of all times. Your vocals are unreal and the band is awesome. I wonder if Paul ever gets on You Tube?? He would be amazed.

  • J'ai reçu une grande jouissance.

    Merci.

  • Very Liverpudlian!

  • thank you

  • Your English gets better and better! Great job with the vocals on this one!

  • Hi Wally,

Love this song and you've perfected it!

This was a single and the B Side was Rain...

Is the next one going to be Rain?

    See you around dude

    :)

    Matthew

  • lovely french touch, you're right'bout the last backing vocals of the ad lib, it's definitely "freres jacques", an old middle-ages french standard

  • All that attention to detail, not to mention having the name frenchytoast, and you didn't know the background vocals are singing "Frère Jacques" during the final verse. Ah well, c'est la vie! ;)

  • no i didn't know it,and never did understand they said "frère jacques",plus it's the same melody, but i never realised it,because it had no link with the rest of the song..and someone told it to me after video uploaded, and even if i sung this lullaby probably more often than you in my childhood,i'm learning things everyday, without my video clip ,i would never know.

  • Outstanding....perfect job on bass & vocals man. Jun & Frank really cooked. 5 stars Julien.

  • thank you!

  • dear frenchy,

i love your work for real. i think your awesome. but i wonder if you would be kind enough to answer this question for me-

when you choose to cover a beatles song, is it difficult for you to figure out what notes to play on guitar and bass?

i don't have your talent. i wish i did, but that's ok, really.

i really would like to know, in all humility, if it takes a great effort on your part to figure out what to play, or does it just come naturally?

  • hello,on this song, the bass line is not very difficult but not easy neither, cause it has lots of varations,i just need to listen carefully to the song etc,try to rehearse it 3 or 4 times, and then i record it and the good take happens,it comes naturally to my fingers.

  • Incredible!! Great sound!

  • thanks

  • Extremely enjoyable. Thanks for the pick me up! I needed it today.

  • Great job once again!!! This is one of your best so far!!

    ~BookofIsaiah

  • thanks

  • I thought it was the record! I love you guys. You never did tell me how you guys started doing Fab 4 songs. I've loved them since watching them on the Ed Sullivan Show back in the daze.

  • i saw the beatles for first time at TV i think but i got intrested in them later i was still very young aybe 9 or 10,lennon's charisma attracted me a lot.

  • Great job! Sounded almost like the real record... and nice shirt too.

  • Well worth the wait Julien! Great vocals and backing vocals. Just an excellent job by everyone.

    Jim

  • this work sounds so beautiful i could cry.

keep on doing what your doing, don't stop.

i have one question though. am i hearing the work of one individual overdubbing? or is it a group thing? either way, it's great!

    thanks,

    romancitoG

  • i did all the vocals overedubbed yes,and bass, rythm guitar, jun played lead gutar,mg4150 plays drums.

  • Really good. Excelent video edition.

  • I love the attention to detail on things like the stereo mix. Well done guys.

  • Hi Julien, great performance once again ! Fine harmonies, nice overall sound. Keep rocking !

  • Nice job guys! What effects are on the vocals? Besides the multi-tracking did you use ADT on them?

  • Great job!

FWIW: On the Beatles recording, the backing vocals (which start here at 1:02) are "Frère Jacques."

  • thanks for the info! it's a famous french lullaby!

  • you guys rock, I always look forward to seeing these in my subscription box!

  • Very cool Wallie & friends, I can't wait for the book.

  • Great cover! Love it!

But i need to say that your voice, Julien, could have used a bit more "power". You sounded kind of flat.
