  • @BrothaB777 Actually it is an old way to upload high quality videos to YouTube while YouTube did not support regular format yet. The point is that average data rate was limited at some level in old days, so combining your HQ video with blank content to lower the average data rate. In addition, you can put a still image in the middle of your video insure that youtube server takes the still image for video thumbnail.
