  • Classic Elton Song, totally under rated.

  • Wonderful song , thanks for posting !

  • At one time, a few of Elton John and Bernie Taupin's songs were as good as Lennon and McCartney's and this is one of them.

  • fukkin rox now just as it dead then many years ago

  • At 1:23...if you have never seen the video by Queen for Flash Gordon....watch it! It is awesomely amazing!

  • the background parts, especially @ about 2:30 ARE the song as far as *I* am concerned...

  • elton john for the video and elton john for credits thats what im talking about

  • The piano is a lost art!!!!!!!!

  • @go339go not where i come from bro

  • I almost forgot about this song. My boss's name is Harmony......made me think of this song!!!!!!! ONE OF ELTON'S BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Say Hello, Hello, OH!

Beautiful song, love the falsetto vocals and the gorgeous string arrangements. POP MUSIC at its best.

  • pop music which isn't fluff...the anti-fluff... singing of the gritty pains of existence... quintessential 70s...whats not to love?

  • Elton John....A music legend spanning four decades. He is by far the most talented singer in the industry. We thank you Elton for contributing your wonderful talent on stage for the masses to be enjoyed and admired.

  • at 2:14 the best picture by far

  • if you dont like it

    then write the composition

I know I come from good musical stock

There is Nothing Greater than Yourself.

What graeter Symphony can there be but yourself /

  • who in the hell are the Beatles ??? compared to EJ MINOR LUEAGE

  • In the 70s he was a towering talent. Grey Seal, Harmony, Sweet Painted Ladies, Saturday Nights Alright For Fightin' to Danny Bailey. Worldwide pop culture indulges obscenely in vapid hyperbole. "Lady Ga Ga is genius!" "Madonna is a visionary musician"

Elton mastered his instrument & used complex phrasing & powerful melodies. There've been others, but let's face it. The MTV goons have force fed a diet of vapid Black Eyed Pea groups on us, & most accept it. Elton's slipped, but this is art.

  • @redfishradical Elton was God until 1984 en ded. period. Sicne then he has been A SHELL. Either by narcotic, surgery, pain, unhappiness, or selling his soul

  • I totally agree with you... and I'm only 22!

  • My favorite Elton song...love it.

  • Brilliant!!!

Who is writing tunes this good today?

    Elton, let me tell you..M & M sucks! J Z sucks..Beyonce sucks..Lady CaCa sucks..You were great in your day!!

At least we have that to hold on to..

  • Lots of cute pictures! Do you remember where you found the one at 0:55? :)

  • ahh a gem my man a complete and utter gem.

  • Thanks for the posting. Brings back many warm fond memories.

  • AMEN! Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Harmony was definitive Elton John, at his zenith.

  • This is in my opinion the best song from "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"! I LOVE IT! :^D

  • At 2:25 with Animal.. Brilliant, the '70's were great for TV. Everybody just had fun!! Too much of it actually!

  • Tell me this man is not increadibily cute

    2:19 lol

  • I absolutely love this song. One of Elton's (& Taupin's) best, ever. So melodic and lush. Certainly an underrated gem from GYBR.

  • WOW...

  • At 1:18 Elton looks very uncomfortable.

  • Yeah :) lol

  • @mattpitvette It's an Act :) [what a character ......... on this planet, there's room for only one Elton] .... U N I Q U E !

  • I Absolutely Could NOT Love Another Musical Artist(s) As Much As I Love Mr. Elton John & of course, Mr. Bernie Taupin's Lyrics.......

    ::priceless::

  • There Is No Better Beginning To A Song

    [hello]

  • I dont think he made a bad record in the 70s

  • This was out in 1973, when I was eleven years old, in sixth grade...I loved this song

  • This is one of EJ's greatest. His vocals are amazing. Memories of high school with all the hits he got from the Yellow brick road LP.

  • Perhaps EJ's greatest vocal performance -- and that's saying something. His voice here is at its youthful best -- pure, bell-like in its clarity. And the melody here is so beautiful, it's nearly overpowering. Never tire of hearing this gem.

  • This is a wonderful song. I play the record, yes I said record, until I wore it out. I still love this song. High school was great with Elton John, and songs like this. He still Wows the concert crowd now just like he did then.

  • This is one of my favorites. I never get tired of this song.

  • It's a really great song and it came from a great album
