Actually just under 15% of Turbografx games are shooters (not counting CD games). The bulk of 'em are "action" titles at 24.5%. Shooters were just the system's most successful/popular genre, so they get "89%" of the attention.
Parodious meets R-Type. Colorful and looks like one of those peculiar Turbo first Gen Titles for Turbo. I know This came out for Wii VC but I really would like to see Kieth Courage.
I own the PC Engine version of this game. Interesting shooter, but fairly standard stuff. The soundtrack reminds me of a cross between Alien Crush and Splatterhouse. Very unusual. This baby is coming this Monday, Feb. 25. Is it worth 800 points? Only if you're either a fan of the game or a diehard shooter fan. It's tough that this mediocre shooter has to follow Lords of Thunder on the release schedule. Tough act to follow. : )
Years ago, I borrowed this game from a friend and beat it. Not a bad R-Type clone. If I remember correctly, I believe you've gone inside the psyche of your girlfriend to fight off her "demons". But it has been so long I can't remember if it's accurate. Guess I better check Wikipedia. Wish I could find Psychosis for my collection.
Psychosis is also known as Paranoia on the PC Engine, and the second and third stages were reversed in the US release (the feature of an alien flipping the bird and cursing at you at the end of the levels was either also changed or completely removed). It looks like this game can mess with you, and a weird one this is. This game looks a like a cool title all aroud to me; its title also sounds cooler than its Japanese counterpart. PSYCHOSIS!
Looks like a cheap version of Parodius.

Why is it that like 89% of the turbo graphix games (give or take a few percent) are all shooters.

The owner of the music asked that the original music not be used. So I replaced it with something else.

The US version got censored. No aliens giving you middle fingers.

Well, if they forgot, then it would be rated T for teen.
