@198cvx Naaah that game is only frightening the first few hours you play it alone in the dark. After a while the fact that you have no weapons but the ability to throw stuff like a weakling and run away gets really irriating and annoying. IMO horror games like these need more thrills and a good story plot to keep the fear going.

Can't we just enjoy this game for what it is and stop "arguing" about Amnesia being scarier. Some people what an action thriller that scares the shit out of you with a great story that is replayable over and over again. Others just want a game that will never make you sleep again. Both games are good just enjoy them :)

You guys have no imagination, generally all scary games are the scariest, but this is still one of the scariest, put yourselves in the the shoes of isaac clark for example, you're stuck in space and there is no where to go or to escape, you're constantly hunted by creatures specifically designed to kill and will stop at nothing to kill you to further their species. You can't stop and rest, you can't sleep, you can't trust anyone, odds are you're not going to survive, pretty scary if you ask me.

To get the full effect of the scariness. I use a head set. Get a roller office chair. Turn off all the lights. Turn on 60in of awesomeness. Play in the middle on the night, with no one home. It's really freaky.

But playing with a friend around, or just during the day for fun, or just with people around ruin it. Half the time we just laugh at what happens. Or go WTF.

Funny Story. At #2 when I was playing the game for the first time, it was dark in my room, the only light was from the tv, I heard that scream, and I swear it gave me a headache from the sudden suspense of that, needless to say, I finished that game in my lit up room :)
