  • Is there a lot of drone when your cruising or is the interior noise not that bad? Because I want to do 2 Flowmaster 40s and also remove the suitcase muffler, I am a member on custommagnums and I saw your post. I want your opinion on what I should do, I have an '05 Magnum R/T and I'm really thinking about doing the 40s and the suitcase delete.

  • @veyron12020 Where are you gonna put the 40's? In place of the suitcase, or the resonators at the back? As far as drone goes, it's not bad at all. There's just one RPM area (never seem to check what RPM that is) that has a strange type of drone, but it's easy to make it stop. I've actually considered removing the resonators in order to make the car louder. But at that point, the drone would be noticeable, since that would be straight pipe.

  • @Joose I am just going to install an SLP LM1 system instead, but thanks for the help.

  • Ok, let me get this straight. Did you remove the y pipe or replace the y pipe with something else, because how else would there be exhaust coming out of the tips if the mid section was removed. On a different note, that has one hell of a note!

  • @AdamKingM I guess it's more of an "x" pipe.

  • @AdamKingM It's neither an X or a Y pipe. These cars have true dual exhaust. They also come stock with an enormous muffler right in the middle, along with the 2 in the back like most cars. I removed the big muffler in the middle and replaced it with 2 pipes instead.

  • @Joose I see what you're talking about. I know the exhaust, I have the same thing - I was talking about the x-pipe after the headers. It looks like you replaced the resonators.

  • @AdamKingM I don't think we have X-Pipes after the headers man. I'm pretty sure it's Engine>Headers>Pipe>Cats>Mid Muffler>Resonators.

The ones in the back are actually the resonators.

  • @Joose You know, you're right! I replaced my exhaust and I ended up having to cut the old one off. I guess I don't remember what it looked like. I am to assume that it is somewhat identical to the SLP exhaust that I have on now. I did all the work myself and I know for sure that there is an X pipe where the two pipes are welded together without crossing the air over. I can take a picture if it would help.
