@grgrochak His original powers was to mimic other peopls powers like a sponge he didnt take powers from anybody he just had there powers once he came close to the person.But now since his fathers were taken by his father (biggest mistake nbc did) he has none. But then again he injected himself with a syrum that gave him the power to touch people with abilitys and is able to only use that ability and only one at a time, sorta like a nerf to his abilitys.
i stopped at the end of season 1, the end was pretty anti climactic and i never once got to see a full on 10 minute fight i had been hoping for. they pretty much broke it when they gave each of them unlimited powers and tried to bounce around screen time to every single character that didn't even have a major role in the show. I was hoping it'd have more like a matrix/dbz grip on it, but season was was as far as i would go.
this fight was my best in the entire show, it showed how much stronger than Sylar Peter is. The reason Peter always lost to Sylar in previous battles is that Peter was a stupid, insecure boy and didnt know how to use his powers like Sylar did but after taking that Sylar's understanding how everything works power, Peter became untouchable. It was a terrible mistake that at the end of this episode they took away all his powers. that move made heroes a terrible show to watch.

I'm willing to bet that if Heroes had gotten a 5th season we would've had the opportunity to see Peter get his full power of empathic mimicry back. It should be noted that in the 3 episodes where Peter was able to access Sylar's intuitive aptitude, he became as twisted as Sylar. Yes, empathic mimicry and intuitive aptitude are the official names to Peter and Sylar's original powers, respectively.

the acquisition of peters recent ability replication is evidently pathetic.. for me theres 3 choices number 1. matt parkman junior with his activation power could infact extened petes ability replication ... or infact refine it to the extent of his old 1. Number 2. andos power could augment and amplify peets to the extent of acquiring mulitple and retaing mulitple powers. number 3. Acquiring Lyida's empathy coextend with ability replication therefore allowing absorption.

guys its the catalyst leaving him.. whom ever has it the catalyst will die with them. tht was jus a visual effect used to reference the fact arthur was dead. the catalyst dosent prevent the one who has it from dying if so why did hiros mum and kaito his father originally give it to clair...??? and then again rewritten to hiro.... ?? because hiro's mum was dying and they need 2 preserve said catalyst therefore dosnt prevent death.. with regards to him giving it to the formula it was retained
well Hiros mum dies as soon as she gives the catalyst to Hiro so to me it looks like it was preserving her life even if it wouldn't have been for much longer. if i have it all wrong then i apologise. i would continue with hundreds of theories but as they are probably wrong i won't bother lol
You obviously didn't notice but when Arthur died all his powers left him otherwise he would have healed as soon as the haitian left. So if Peter touched Arthur he wouldn't gain anything
dude he doesnt heal because he got a bullit in the head, there is no recovering from that one. If they would remove the bullit, Arthur would heal just like Peter and Claire healed after they died in season 1.
yes but your saying he should get Arthurs power presumably off Arthur well unfortunately he can't because his powers left wen sylar telekinetically projected the bullet into his brain therefore if Peter did touch his Dad he would gain nothing. Also Peter and Claire both got something stuck in the ''off switch'' part of the back of the head, Arthur got a bullet in the front part he only died like Future Peter because of the Haitians presence.

its not a theory just watch heroes season 3 episode 12 our father it will show Arthurs powers going away. I think its because Sylar looks at their brain exactly after killing them eg in our father Sylar looks at Sue Landers immediately after killing her. Arthurs powers left after a minute or two NOT straight away thats where i believe the line is drawn. Well im not sure if he will get them back but ive seen a spoiler for next weeks episode he appears to be kicking Sylars ass.
@fernandoloader I think Peter isn't going to get his powers back until he gets the scar on his face. I always wondered how did future Peter get the scare on his face if he had Claire's regenerative ability. Now it makes perfect sense. Since Peter can only absorb one ability at a time now he'll be vulnerable to an attack. Sad to say I don't think I'll ever see if my theory was correct cause Heroes has been cancelled.

@josephnicholasgallan I think one reason why they cancelled the show was because it was becoming too much like X-men. There will be public outcry on those with abilities, people like Samuel will try to start a war, etc.

@Scoonertuna When ever I watch X-Men, it seems that they don't really go into detail about the characters and why the Villains do what they do. Like Sylar, he's driven by his Powers Hunger and the Need to be more Special then everyone else. Peter's power manifested because he wanted to help other people and he could relate to how another person was feeling therefore he could copy a persons power.

Charles Xavier always wanted to help people, both mutants and humans, but believed they needed to be free to make their decisions and tried to show everyone the world through his eyes, hence his telepathic ability. Magneto believed humans were evil and therefore needed to be destroyed. Hence why he had the ability to control metal so that he could turn humanities weapons against them.
@Scoonertuna Tracy's power manifested because her Personality originally was Cold and Selfish. Matt Parkmans Telepathy Manifested because he always wanted to know how people thought about him and because he was a Cop. Hiro always wanted to be a Hero lol so what's the best way to save people? Go back in time to stop a event from happening at all.
@josephnicholasgallan Cyclops could never see the world through a normal persons eyes. Instead, he only saw red. Therefore everyone looked the same to him, weather they be mutant or human. To him they were all the same. When ever he was attacked Cyclops would simply show the them the power of their rage and use it against them with an optic blast. That's why in X3 when he fired a full blast he was mirroring his inner pain and his rage.
@Scoonertuna Heroes characters go into more detail about why their powers manifested and normally it's because of their Personality and their powers manifest to match their personalities best as possible.
@Scoonertuna Even for powers that was Artifical. Like Ando, he felt useless while he helped out Hiro. So his power manifested to Amplify other Peoples Powers. Same goes for Tracy to with her Cold Personality.
@josephnicholasgallan Artificial powers mirror characters too in X-men. Wolverine's claws represent his ferocity and his healing factor makes him arrogant. His admantium represents his indestructibility and headstrong nature. His longevity represents his envy of all life and is the reason why he pretends not to care, even thuogh he does.

His Appearance was part of his power but his powers seemed to be so Demon-Like but he was a Catholic. I figure his powers would be more like Angelic like he has Angel Wings and things like that. But yeah you get my point though, you can't really avoid the whole Similarity thing between TV Series when it comes to Super Powers.

Magneto's brotherhood wore dingy and dirty clothes, which symbolized Chaos. In Heroes the future Hiro, Peter and Sylar all wore black trench coats, with black boots and pants, which symbolizes the darkness because they need to stay hidden. Nathan and Arthur wore business suits, which symbolizes power.
@Scoonertuna And I would say that Wolverine's Adamantium Skeleton would count for being part of his Personality. Because it was done on purpose, unlike other Artificial Powers were it's random like in Heroes. His Fast Regeneration would represent his Headstrong and Indestructibility the best out of all his powers.
@josephnicholasgallan Actually I think the adamantium does. It represents the constant burden he bears. It shows he's one to carry a grudge and takes personal loss very seriously.
@Scoonertuna and another thing about X-Men though, what was the Beats power suppose to represent in his personality? He was a Super Genius (not a power) but his Physical Attributes was enhanced instead. if he's a Genius, i would expect his powers to be Psychic not Physical. Same goes for other Marvel characters like The Hulk, in his normal form he hated his real form, he avoided it all the time.

If his Personality had to do with his Powers, then he should of had a Personality like Being Addicted to "The Hunt". His Body is designed for Hunting as you might know. His personality should of been something like he loves The Rush so now his body is designed specifically for that and The Hunt.
Not exactly no Peter was able to stop time, teleport anywhere in the world, run at super speed, he had enhanced strength, fly and many other things sylar wasn't able to do. Peter's empathic mimicry meant any other evolved human he went near he could replicate their ability, Sylar had to actually slice their head open and look at their brain to aquire their ability, for that very reason Peter was able to aquire a lot more abilities than Sylar and was much more powerful.

peter did have access to more abilities, but sylar had more control and proficiency with all of the powers he had acquired, and he's very clever and quick thinking. both of these things are probably a by-product of intuitive aptitude. so i think sylar would have always had the edge over peter.
peter at this point had intuitive aptitude too, and with more abilities so if they both went all out. Peter > sylar. sigh but can't say that anymore since writers replaced peters old abilities with his new weak power.

About Peter's powers: First he had to be around someone to get his ability, then the writers figured out that this didnt work because Peter would be to strong so they took his abilities away and now he have to touch them.

The writers have to give Peter his abilities(or at least the original one none of this one at a time mess) back by the end of season 4 if not its just getting ridiculous. Sylar has Intuitive Aptitude, he can easily figure out how things work, that's how he got more abilities, by examining their brains. The only time he didn't have to was when he spoke to Elle for so long that he figured out how her power worked.
The only excuse I can think of is freezing time requires extreme concentration - Like when Hiro frooze it to kill Sylar in season 1, he lost concentration and Sylar stopped him.
Probably why Peter didn't freeze it in the future episode where Daphne was punching him aswell.

Sylar must have saved Peter in Eris Quod Sum. As he said, how else can you explain a seven storey fall without death. Arhur clearly didnt want him alive and looked as if he knew what Sylar had done. No, he didn't get the powers that he had before he got infected back when he was cured. Its already been confirmed that he kept telekinesis becuase it was so closely related to the guilt he felt for kiling Brian Davis, his first victim.

guys its the catalyst leaving him.. whom ever has it the catalyst will die with them. tht was jus a visual effect used to reference the fact arthur was dead. the catalyst dosent prevent the one who has it from dying if so why did hiros mum and kaito his father originally give it to clair...??? and then again rewritten to hiro.... ?? because hiro's mum was dying and they need 2 preserve said catalyst therefore dosnt prevent death.. with regards to him giving it to the formula it was retained

yes but your saying he should get Arthurs power presumably off Arthur well unfortunately he can't because his powers left wen sylar telekinetically projected the bullet into his brain therefore if Peter did touch his Dad he would gain nothing. Also Peter and Claire both got something stuck in the ''off switch'' part of the back of the head, Arthur got a bullet in the front part he only died like Future Peter because of the Haitians presence.

its not a theory just watch heroes season 3 episode 12 our father it will show Arthurs powers going away. I think its because Sylar looks at their brain exactly after killing them eg in our father Sylar looks at Sue Landers immediately after killing her. Arthurs powers left after a minute or two NOT straight away thats where i believe the line is drawn. Well im not sure if he will get them back but ive seen a spoiler for next weeks episode he appears to be kicking Sylars ass.

@fernandoloader I think Peter isn't going to get his powers back until he gets the scar on his face. I always wondered how did future Peter get the scare on his face if he had Claire's regenerative ability. Now it makes perfect sense. Since Peter can only absorb one ability at a time now he'll be vulnerable to an attack. Sad to say I don't think I'll ever see if my theory was correct cause Heroes has been cancelled.

Like Sylar, he's driven by his Powers Hunger and the Need to be more Special then everyone else. Peter's power manifested because he wanted to help other people and he could relate to how another person was feeling therefore he could copy a persons power.

Charles Xavier always wanted to help people, both mutants and humans, but believed they needed to be free to make their decisions and tried to show everyone the world through his eyes, hence his telepathic ability. Magneto believed humans were evil and therefore needed to be destroyed. Hence why he had the ability to control metal so that he could turn humanities weapons against them.

@josephnicholasgallan Cyclops could never see the world through a normal persons eyes. Instead, he only saw red. Therefore everyone looked the same to him, weather they be mutant or human. To him they were all the same. When ever he was attacked Cyclops would simply show the them the power of their rage and use it against them with an optic blast. That's why in X3 when he fired a full blast he was mirroring his inner pain and his rage.

Magneto's brotherhood wore dingy and dirty clothes, which symbolized Chaos. In Heroes the future Hiro, Peter and Sylar all wore black trench coats, with black boots and pants, which symbolizes the darkness because they need to stay hidden. Nathan and Arthur wore business suits, which symbolizes power.

He was a Super Genius (not a power) but his Physical Attributes was enhanced instead. if he's a Genius, i would expect his powers to be Psychic not Physical. Same goes for other Marvel characters like The Hulk, in his normal form he hated his real form, he avoided it all the time.

Not exactly no Peter was able to stop time, teleport anywhere in the world, run at super speed, he had enhanced strength, fly and many other things sylar wasn't able to do. Peter's empathic mimicry meant any other evolved human he went near he could replicate their ability, Sylar had to actually slice their head open and look at their brain to aquire their ability, for that very reason Peter was able to aquire a lot more abilities than Sylar and was much more powerful.

Ok everyone saying Sylar can kick Peters ass is a complete fucktard, yes he was more adept to his ability than Peter in season 1 but not more powerful, Sylar got owned by Hiro whereas in Season 2 where Hiro actually stopped time Peter owned him. Up until he had his powers stolen by Arthur Peter was by far the most powerful. He lost his powers due to loving his dad and a lot of people make mistakes because of love. Sylar is very powerful but Peter with all his powers can destroy Sylar.

peter did have access to more abilities, but sylar had more control and proficiency with all of the powers he had acquired, and he's very clever and quick thinking. both of these things are probably a by-product of intuitive aptitude. so i think sylar would have always had the edge over peter.

About Peter's powers: First he had to be around someone to get his ability, then the writers figured out that this didnt work because Peter would be to strong so they took his abilities away and now he have to touch them.
It just shows that the writers have no idea where they go. Every power need a rule and they only get that in S3. Same thing with Hiro. Conclusion, Peter and Hiro are getting weaker by the season, shouldnt it be the contrary?

The writers have to give Peter his abilities(or at least the original one none of this one at a time mess) back by the end of season 4 if not its just getting ridiculous. I mean Sylar was totally powerless for the whole season 2 but that was only like 11 episodes so this is just crazy, just when Peter was going bad he lost hs powers...damn.

I still can't believe that peter lost so many fights in season 1, HE COULD STOP TIME FOR GOD SAKE! Atleast with his new ability he isn't too powerful he has to learn to specialize like the others as opposed to having a power for every occasion, unless he meets someone with empathetic mimicry again.

Sylar has Intuitive Aptitude, he can easily figure out how things work, that's how he got more abilities, by examining their brains. The only time he didn't have to was when he spoke to Elle for so long that he figured out how her power worked.

The only excuse I can think of is freezing time requires extreme concentration - Like when Hiro frooze it to kill Sylar in season 1, he lost concentration and Sylar stopped him.

Sylar must have saved Peter in Eris Quod Sum. As he said, how else can you explain a seven storey fall without death. Arhur clearly didnt want him alive and looked as if he knew what Sylar had done. He has more than 5 abilities. The cure for the virus restored all his powers. How else could you explain that Sylar painted the future in "I am become Death"? Remember he got it from Isaac before he got infected. I think he didn't want to use his powers because he didn't want to harm his brother.

Sylar did get all the powers back (where else should he get precog painting (mendez power)? in the future (the formula timeline (which was after his infection)) he drew a picture of himself blowing up costa verde. the formula was kept secret by hiros father during volume two and was stolen by daphne millbrook at the begining of villains. (any explanations on that?))
