My big question was separating flour from whatever, but it looks like companies like Emergency Essentials just supply the grain, so no separation is needed. Well, this video was certainly worth watching!
With all the bread we eat in our household, I'm considering buying wheat to make our own bread. It will save us money in the long run. Thanks for this post!
Although I own, and love, my K-Tec, I am planning to also purchase the Wonder Junior Hand Grain Mill... this would allow me to make cracked wheat, corn meal, grits, and peanut butter...
Stainless steel and stone burrs can be swapped out, depending on your need.
I have the K-Tec Kitchen Mill... it's the most affordable electric mill on the market... # Micronizing chamber 'bursts' grain into fine flour. # Stoneless milling reduces heat that destroys nutrients # Mills up to 1 pound of grain a minute # Pan holds 24 cups # Milling chamber is self-cleaning and service free.
I like the Marga hand grinder but have been wanting to get a Nutramill forever! I liked seeing how they all worked thanks for posting I am totally going to bookmark your website too! Thanks girls!
As for non-electric grinders I own one that produces everything from coarse cereal to fine flour. It costs a lot more than the little one shown, but when searching the web it was described by many people as being the best. If you have the money, I highly recommend it. It's the Country Living Grain Mill. It can be motorized, too. For "everyday use" I have an electric one similar to the two shown on the video. They are compact and fast, but they're loud.
Where would i buy that hand grinder, do you sell it., thankyou for this video, its fantastic

On the topic of non-electric appliances I'd recommend Lehman's.
They have MUCH nicer equipment than the survival stores, and they're much more convenient for normal use than the normal survival equipment.
Of course that is only to be expected, the Amish are always without power.

@susannahdawn I've got a Wonder Junior, and it's pretty nice. Although for peanut butter, nothing beats the Cuisineart!
