Can I backup my operating system and programs without my files. Files like pics, music or videos.

I had an issue using this utility on Win7-64. I setup a 2 TB external HDD through USB and went through this process just fine the first two times. Overtime, I noticed that I had several backups onto that one HDD. So, I got an error message stating that I had run out of room. Is there a way to have the Backup remove the older versions automatically? Or did I miss a step?

Mine won't work if I back up my pc he needs blank cd, DVD, or flash drive wen I put the cd won't work again. Everytime I open my pc it shows the 1 problem message on my taskbar

ok this thing is a problem in my computer since the fisrt day I got it. Why do I need to do this>??? Do I really nee to do this??? because somehow this is making my system run slowly. btw I play games.... 3D-games which I can't play no more because this little problem is turning out to be a big problem for me. @Wiz4Rd7 DVD's are supported though you will need lots. As for why it stops at 25%, this could be a hardware problem.

Howlong on average should this take for the backup ? My Backup keeps getting stuck at 25%.... Saying 'Copping Files To E:/ (My Disk Drive) I have tried different disks and tonight I let it run for around an hour and a half... I dont know about anyone else but to me windows 7 seams to have complecated the easy things!

I have a issue with the backup, it gives me the option of backup to the dvd drive , and other flash usbs, but i have 2 internal hard drives, 1 for operating system and programs and the other for media dn documents. both primary and secondary drive doesnt come up on the backup options, but the drive runs perfectly fine i can access fils from it and so forth. i want to make a backup on the secondary drive.

No, you can't use the backup utility to move Windows 7 from one PC to another. However, if you bought Windows 7 from a store then you are within your rights to remove it from one PC and install it to another one (unless you purchased an OEM licence, which is bound to one computer only) - Hope that helps

What do you mean? You can surely mount an system image on another pc and even boot from it if its enterprise or ultimate

No you can use an internal hard drive, it should work fine?

why would you back up onto same drive you need to back up onto an externel drive incase your pc fails moron
