Consistency is just a matter of opinion. In my opinion, Led Zeppelin made consistently bad music. All they did was remake blues songs really loud, with Robert Plants orgasm-y vocals (I think you know what I'm talking about), John Bonham's hammer of the gods drumming (which gets old fast), and Jimmy Pages horribly generic and boring solos. If you like Led Zeppelin, than whatever, but I don't think consistency is a valid category because its bias by nature.

Nice list (especially the top 10). Interesting choice to put the Beatles second. Personally Zeppelin is equal with the Beatles in my list but I respect your decision not to do what's typical. The major changes I would make are Nirvana would be no. 3 (Soundgarden wouldn't be on the list). The Beegees would be at the very bottom of the list as would Kiss, and the Rolling Stones would be top 5.

Overall though, I think you covered most of the great bands.
