  • i dont like pagents and i think it is bad for parents to put them in but this kid changed my mind he seems truly happy he seems like htis is somthing he wants to do

  • this mom is actually the worst ever.

if you watch the tlc toddlers and tiaras episode she is on she is terrible.

her kid is so sweet and happy and when he won personality she was like ''how is that possible?!'' she keeps talking bad about her kid

  • why does the psychologist keep trying to talk about homophobia?? Yes some of the boys will be gay but some wont!

  • Oh, my nonexistent son is going to be in a beauty pageant, that MUST MEAN he's gay.

    Bullcrap.

  • from my point of view pageants are horrible... but if girls do it.. boys are equal. so...

  • is it just me or are pageant moms really fat

  • They should go in mother/son pageants. Make that sloth limp up across the stage in front of judges.

  • The mom actually sounds rather rational- especially while hearing her talk about her other son. I am looking at this from the perspective of someone who knows people can be born gay. I think she is just trying to nurture her (most likely gay) child. But I do agree that pageants make people into vain, obnoxious people. At the worst- this child will grow up to be an obnoxious gay guy with way too much mirror time being spent. At best, he will grow up not feeling terrible about liking himself.

  • THAT'S WHAT I CALL A "MUM ZILLA"! POOR KID =(

  • Joy is SO awkward with the kid.

  • mom: "Zander, are you doing this For ME or for YOU" (SAY mom and ima get dat ass when we get home ***voice*****)

Zander: "Im doing it for me"

  • Its sound like she put him onto this telling him you get toys and other stuff, I am no parent but I can tell that kid feels pressure from the mom. She also didn't have plan when this kids grows up and gets physically bullied in a society that test this kind of practices on boys, her answer "I don't care."

  • what intrigues me is, in america, when boys plays dolls they get outraged and humiliated, they condemed their own child, BUT, when they see a boy playing with a toy gun, the parents thinks its normal. if you realy think about it. GUNS ARE USED TO KILL PEOPLE!, THEY ARE NURTURING THIS VIOLENT AND POTENTIALY DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR!.... thast why in the usa, crime rate is one the ris, and murderers are getting younger and younger.

  • @elenavlada Teaching responsibility to children is what needs to be placed. Many people have been raised around guns and turn out ok and some even have respect of what a weapon can do. Most crimes are young people who have never had a weapon before and are all exited and ready to put it to use.

  • @Jayc2400 thats like what my mum says about alcahol, im 12 but she lets me drink it sometimes :)

  • @1jadeamber Just keep it in moderation and don't drive your bike under the influence

  • in the show that fat ugly bitch said looks get you farther in life

  • The psychologist seems to have a very good grip on this issue. There is a heavy implication of homophobia in this topic. There should be no difference whether a boy does a pageant, or a girl.

Personally, I think pageants are absolutely fine. They're like any other competitive activity. You train hard, you prepare, you have good showmanship, and it pays off.

  • How is it that all the pageant mom's from that Toddler's and Tiara's show are obese and have southern accents? Just sayin.

And oh my goodness that poor child. I felt so terrible for him when he was answering questions. He's trying to answer all the questions correctly like his mom conditioned him to. =[

  • I don't understand why this stupid psychologist assumes he might be gay. PEOPLE ARE BORN GAY and the fact that this little boy competes in pageant, won't affect his sexuality in any way. DUMB BITCH

  • @funniandloved um... she never said that o.0

  • Ah yes i do love it when trained phsycologists tell the homophobes that being gay is not a choice.....eat science mofo's!!!

  • That fat cow should lose custody NOW

  • I think the nugget here is what Dr Markham said: pageants teach kids, boys and girls, to be inauthentic, not themselves.

  • so wrong ..

  • Pageants for anyone under 12 are WRONG. Whether it are boys or girls.

  • @spoenk they should be 16 at the very least. 12 is much too young for girls, or boys for that matter. Theyre still children. No child should ever wear makeup

  • what is this, I don't even...

  • If that mom is so into beauty she should turn her attention to her obviously neglected body. Kids pick up new interests and are denied others all of the time. She shouldn't use her son's whims to rationalize her desire to live vicariously through him. Someday, after a lifetime of dealing with childhood taunting her son is going to tell her that he hates what she did to him.

  • People are born gay. No matter what the parents do a kid will be straight or gay depending on what they are born with. OTOH, beauty pageants have been reported as extremely bad for little girls, it makes no sense to drag boys into it. No matter how good the parenting is, bullying and taunting leave marks for life. Kids can find other interests, a beauty pageant isn't worth ruining a childhood over.

  • "if his body changes, he'll still be zander to us" ... after this sentence i wish that after 10 years this kid comes to his mom and says "mommy, i want to be a girl" and starts having all kinds of sex change operations

  • @Khazar01 nice coment, wishing thechild a tumultuous future

  • this is not normal...

  • It's good to see boys breaking away from the norm.

  • Joy is awesome !!!
