woah what do non casters do in the beginning the bird was moving around tomuch for me to think i could catch up with it.

Non-casters only focus fire on Al'ar for the very first pad right when the pull is made. After that they are on Add duty. After al'ar leaves each pad, a little al'ar is left behind which is agroed usally to the healers. The non-casters then agro the lil al'ar on its way down to the casters, and kill it. Though at... i think its 1-5% health, the lil al'ar will explode and shoot anyone near by up in the air. So be sure to stun it and run when it is low on health

To be honest, it is a long list that even I can't recall. Spent a few hours customizing where everything will show up so at no one point will anything overlap. Just DL a bunch and mess around with them, but be safe and don't DL a virus.

I don't know the thinking of the raid leader putting me in a group with 3 shadow priests. But it was prolly the idea that since the room is so big, I may need small heals when running from 1 platform to the other and a healer could be out of range.. Did help a lot :) thanks for the comment

Its a quest line, you disguise yourself as one of them and kill al'ar to prove your allegiance to that guy in the sewer who is a friend of Illadin and wants to betray him or somthign like that.

that strat is retarded. For each add you kill it drains 3% of Al'ar's life. Why make it harder on the healers by having the adds stack up and not get the 3% life drain for each kill?

because in the same amount of time you can kill an add, you can take off 4% of al'ar's life. Not to mention healers don't have a hard time healing the tanks doing this so long as one doesn't run off.

I still disagree. We have shadow priests and melee on Al'ar the whole time and ranged dps on the adds asap then back on Al'ar when there are no adds.

Well, not here to change your idea of a good strat, ours worked for use, i'm sure yours worked for you. We have well geared and smart tanks holding adds. remeber this was our first night fighting him, so we were just trying new things and this worked for us. Sadly, i quit the game, Left this guild, and sold my toons. This will forever be my most memorable moment in WoW though.

Its a quest item from the black temple quest line. You must kill Al'ar as a Kurunai, then head to Battle of Mount Hyjal.
