N'ah.. americans have engine size, but the power they pull out of them is rubbish! (well.. ok, it is brute power cause hell, I love some american cars.. but look at the power europeans/asians get out of smaller engines with a little engineering. When the germans but a big 8l engine in a car you get the veyron which is in a league of its own. The americans put that in most cars that can't even compete! But don't get me wrong, I'd love an 8l dodge as much as an 8l VW!!

@sevsevbar High horsepower small displacement engines are more complex and therefore more expensive to build and to maintain. Larger displacement engines give you better drivability in everyday driving. In other words, you don't have to rev it up to 4000 rpm to make power. Push the pedal a little and you take off...no need to downshift.

um, they veyron is only putting 1000hp to the wheels, that sucks.. it has 2 5.2L 8 cylinder engines.. not just one... a chevvy zr1 makes over 600 hp on an 8 cylinder with only 1 supercharger.. the veyron needs 4 turbos... it should be putting at least 1600 to the wheels... the veyron is a bad example of fine european engineering..

@TheEvoXFreak Um.. Yes the veyron has two v8s to make it's trademark w16 engine.. But I think you'll find that it only has an 8.0l engine. If I'm right, the zr1 has a 6.2l engine.. So let's go by displacement rather than the number of cylinders cause that's more important.. That gives the bugatti about 125bhp per litre, while the zr1 only kicks out about 100! And it's a very similar story with the torque figures too! Btw, veyron super sport = 1200bhp (150bhp per litre)

yes... 125 hp aren't a good tuning... 125 hp is the power of a mini by BMW or a VW golf. 125 Hp from a car that has 507 STOCK. witch means a 25% power gain. If it is real (and I saw BMW M5 with 730 hp daily) that's a good tuning. Have you a little idea how could be fast a 507hp car? and a 625 tuned one? I don't think so. BTW that's a fuck video where are these famous 625 hp? It's easy... I start my diesel engime and I tell "it's one billion of hp", is the same.
