A little trivia. Caroline Munro was the beautiful actress who played Dr. Phibes wife in both movies.

She isn't human. She is some sort of spirit who Phibes summons. It was to be revealed in the third movie.

@anton1990 - The 3rd movie screenplay was written by Vincent Price, BTW. I don't know what the exact plot was. V.P. could've been a great horror movie writer as well as actor, after starring in so many.

I'm sorry, but that's not true. There were many screenplays for a third Phibes movie, the most famous being "The seven fates of Dr Phibes" (a script Vinnie really liked) where he goes to Greece in search of more mythical artifacts. There was plans of a reeboot, a horribly dark sequel, another one where Phibes were going to start a war against polluters (!). But none were written by Vincent.

@anton1990 - Any sequels or reboots now - forget it. Without Vincent Price, they'd be big piles of horse merde. You can have a Frankenstein movie w / out Boris Karloff, but Dr. Phibes w / out Vincent - feh, I say !! Feh & feh again.

Don't worry, that reboot idea was from way back in the 80's. But you are so right. It would be cool though if somebody made a graphic novel out of the script "The seven fates of Dr. Phibes".

@knoxvilleguy2 The script was heavily edited. Originally it explained more of the back story. The original adversary for Phibes was a vampire named Count Yorga, who had been played the the Biderback actor (Robert Quarry.) But that idea was ditched, Quarry ended up as Biderback, and between all the rewrites and studio meddling his back story was lost.

@fjccommish - The original idea makes sense, in a " battle between the monsters " kind of fashion. I wish the studio had seen fit for a 3rd movie. Price had written a follow up for Dr. Phibes, too. But TPTB said " no ". Pity.

I can understand Vulnavia as a companion type assistant as to keep a lonely Dr. Anton Phibes company. I'm sure when Victoria was resurrected, she would thanked Vulnavia for her services.
